  1. Fished this morning from 6:30 til 9:30. Started at about 80' and went to 130'. Ended the morning 3 for 4. Did one small King on a watermelon NK 28 slider off a rigger at 95' over 120'. The second fish was also a small King caught on a 42 second NK Mag off a dipsey out 150' over 120'. The third fish was a King about a 10lb King caught on an NBK Stinger down 95' over 120'. Marked a lot of small bait pods but not a lot of hooks with them. Decided to cut the morning short when I got my line wrapped up in the kicker motor netting the last fish. Went back to the dock where I could reach the prop to cut the line out and now ready for another day.
  2. Thanks for the report. That's a lot more encouraging than the reports last week. Hopefully, the fish and bait will stick around for a while.
  3. What do you think this strong NE wind will do to the lake?
  4. Same result for me yesterday. Fished from 7:00 til 10:00. I stayed in the 60 to 90-foot range from I-bay to Webster Park. I saw lots of bait and a few fish. I tried different depths and speeds but couldn't get a bite. There was enough bait to get the rods bouncing but very few hooks right on the bait. water temp was right around 60 degrees on top and the coldest I found was about 46 degrees down 75 feet over 90.
  5. Thanks, I did do that. I’m thinking it’s a switch because it started intermittently a few outings ago.
  6. The ignition on my Yamaha 9.9 stopped working. I’m thinking it’s a bad kill switch or neutral switch. Does anyone know how to bypass these to test and temporarily fix it? I would like to get through this week until I can do a permanent fix. I'm also looking for someone that can do the fix for me if needed. Any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm in the Rochester area. Thanks.

  8. The wind has been stiff out of the south the last few days. Glad you were able to find fish. Those spring Kings are a lot of fun. The forecast has the wind turning to the north Wednesday night. Hope they are right. That could set up the inshore fishing for the weekend.
  9. I saw you out there in the Zodiac today. I caught 2 Salmon in the same area today. Lots of fish on the screen between the bay and Ship Builders. One fish came on a diver out 30 and one on the downrigger 20'down over 30. It's hard enough solo in a boat, must really be a challenge on a Zodiac. Congrats on the fish.
  10. I noticed your boat wasn't at the slip last year and wondered where you went. Good luck with the sale and the new job.
  11. The diver is the 4 1/8" dia. I was it running 35' out without a ring, on the 3 1/2 setting on a wire diver. Couldn't have been running very deep.
  12. I didn't get out until almost 9:30. Set up just east of the bay. Lake was a little choppy with rollers out of the northeast. Trolled back and forth to the flagpole a few times without a touch. Slipped out to 60' to take a look but didn't see anything so came back shallow. When the lake settled down the fish started biting. Ended the day 4 for 7. 2 Browns and 2 Kings (15# and 18#). Every hit came on a Michigan Stinger NBK. 4 were 10-11 feet down on the rigger and 3 were on a Dipsey out 35 on a 3 1/2 setting. Not one hit on a stick bait. Also all hits came in 20' to 25' of water. Off the water by 2:00
  13. Sale pending
  14. 3 used Wise boat seats. Good condition, no rips or tears. $25 a piece or all 3 for $65. Pick up only in Penfield NY
  15. I'm looking for input for a good net to use when fishing with stick baits. The two I have now are a real PITA with the treble hooks, so I'm in need of something that the lures don't get so wrapped up in.
  16. Sold pending payment.
  17. 2 Big Jon Downriggers. Each rigger is 36' and has 2 rod holders. Both motors work and are rated for 12# weights. These are 80's models and the booms do not except threaded extensions. $250 picked up in Rochester NY. PM with any interest.
