1978 31' Silverton Convertible Looking to move up after this boat has been in the family for 33 years! Very reliable and comfortable fishing platform with lots of interior comfort also. Well maintained Chrysler 318s with ample space around them to easily do annual routine maintenance. Scotty downriggers and all electronics are part of the sale. New canvas surround in 2014. New epoxy to some areas of back deck recently completed. (Have not gotten around to fresh deck paint yet). Located in Rochester and will be in the water until late October. Asking $15,000. PM me if interested.

Double D Rochester 6/7
Just Fishin' replied to dvdegeorge's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
We were one of the boats that were in 500'. Boated 10 but no real size to any of them. Looks like you were definitely better off inside. Awesome temp. break but smaller fish. Mix of boards, shallow riggers and one slide diver bite. Did take one off the 40' rigger on a Wonderbread. Other lures were mahi mahi, salmon slammer and boy/girl. -

I am in need of replacing a Beckman net handle and can't seem to find where I can buy one. Anyone ever have to do this before and know where I can find the contact info? -

So true Silver Fox! I LOST more than $150.00 in tackle trying to learn on my own...well worth the money to take a charter. -
Great shots!

Welcome Hespera. Brought my Silverton up from Bridgeport CT a few years back. Trip was awesome, met people along the way that we still stay in touch with. You will love this site, especially when the fishing season gets going.

Making a mid October trip to Rehobeth Beach with some friends and looking for a charter, hopefully for stripers. Anyone have a charter boat recommendation, preferably out of Indian River. Thanks for any info.

Got my youngest daughter and her friends out before she heads off to college tomorrow. Where has the time gone? Fished 160-240 off Russell with best screen in 180. Temp was down 100'. Only went 3-5 with 2 kings and a steelie. 1st king (12ish) on a slider on the 85' rigger, R and R grape spoon. 2nd was same size, 100' rigger on a green nuclear paddle and tournament fly. Steelie was on a spook slider down about 40'. I think things are shaping up for this weekend to really set up on the inside waters.

Got out with some dockmates last night from 5:30 til dusk. Went 9-12 with 3 browns, 3 lakers and 3 kings. Best king was 17lbs at dusk. 102 rigger over 145 on Wonderbread took 7 of the 9 fish. Other 2 were on NBK down 75. Light chop out of w/nw. Fish were on the deep side of the temp band.

I run 3 by choice. With all the junk lines we run these days I never feel cheated that I haven't mounted the 4th. If it is a rigger bite the 3 give me plenty of action. No scientific answer for you, just feel 3 is enough in my situation. Charter fishing may give you a different answer when you have a need to put fish in the box.
