  21. Just a article posted in our local paper. NY requires life jackets for cold weather boatingText Size: A | A | A Print this Article Email this Article ShareThisRespond to this Article Posted: September 01, 2009 - 4:12 PM ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- New York has become the first state to require life jackets for everyone in all small pleasure craft during the six coldest months of the year, when capsized boaters drown faster in chilly water. Starting Nov. 1, kayakers, canoeists and all those aboard other boats under 21 feet must wear Coast Guard-approved personal flotation devices while on lakes, the ocean or other waterways. The rule will remain in effect through May 1. Violators will face fines ranging from $25 to $100. Similar measures apply to canoes and kayaks in Massachusetts and to all manually propelled vessels, including rowboats, in Connecticut. Falling into cold water can trigger shock, disorientation or gasping and inhaling water. Immersion can lead to hypothermia and passing out.

  23. I know it's kind of early to be asking, but does anybody have some names & phone numbers of places for indoor storage(25'boat) around the Red Creek, Fair Haven, or Oswego area? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

  25. How do you fish with a flasher and fly? I though a flasher was a fisherman in a buffy suit. Does that mean you have to tie the fly right on the end of the pole?
