I can remember not to long ago when we had to have our trailers & lower units steamed cleaned before launching because of the fear of spreading zebra muzzles......didn't last long . ...this too will pass in a year or two. If the clean earth people really want to stop the spread of invasives then they should campaign to rid all pet and aquarium stores from selling anything that is not native to the US.

Are you checking the voltage difference while on the trailer or in the water? Be sure the zinc's are cleaned (get all the white fuzzy stuff off) and the grounds on the engine mount are clean also. Disconnect the battery and see what you read.... If 0 then you have a connection leaking somewhere. Reconnect the battery and disconnect one lead at a time from the bus bar until you find the culprit. Then trouble shoot that circuit. Another thing to look at is the downrigger itself. The cable may be isolated from the boat grounds because of the plastic frame.

Andy you'll only see my boat slick once, maybe twice a season when my wife decides it's time to do the wine tour. Just remember,....I can do anything I want as long as it's OK with her . Launched out of Long Point Sunday @ about noon and limited out with some real nice ones in the box. Went straight over to Goose Watch and picked up 3 keepers. Two whites & a red. I used 3 one dollar bills for bait at the tasting table. Didn't take long to zero in. Grabbed my 3 bottles & the better half picked up a T shirt for good luck. From there we went down to Kidders for a couple cold ones and their shrimp Po-Boy. That didn't take to long and off to Thristy Owl to try our luck there. Used the same bait which was still working at 4:30 and had 2 nice reds in short order and another T shirt of course. The dipsey bonus of the day was a double dip at Toads on the way home . My best color for lures that day was GR$$N. All in all it was a great day even thou I never put a line in the water . That non fishing day paid my dues for this season . Hopefully I can catch some of those grill size fish like you guys do the rest of this season. .....till my next report...

I have a 2002 Merc 115 4 stroke EFI. Twice threw the years I had a intermittent rough running condition. Like you I changed the fuel filters with out curing the problem. Both times the cure was a new set of plugs and presto.............runs like new. The plugs are pretty pricey,..... Cabela's had them the cheapest. I now keep a spare set of new plugs on hand and the next sign of a rough condition the plugs will be the first thing I change. Hope that works for you guys.
