Something isn't right with that picture. Yamaha needs their gonads twisted `till they say uncle. Us weekend warriors will put 100 hours on a engine in short order and that failure has nothing to do with a "Charter" boat. Sean,...send them a link to LOU and mention just how many potential customers are seeing this. Also one more thought. Will Owasco Marine work something out with you on a loaner or rental engine to get you back on the water until this is all straightened out?

Dose the Lowrance HDS-10 Fishfinder/GPS compare to Raymarine
stinger replied to Knotlost's topic in This Old Boat
RAY is back,.......I've tried that but it's embarrasing when I have guests on my boat. In all seriousness, I would rather be able to track my `rigger balls than see fish or bait at 30 mph. I'm afraid to make the change just to find out that I lost the ability to track balls while trolling. -

Can you track your balls ( ) while trolling with the thru hull ducer? -
Frisco, I do have an electric one that I got at the Watkins Glen flea market but I'm having trouble getting some parts. If I can get it to run I'll add it to the spread later this year but first I have to perfect this copper line technique. I may have to remove 2 of my riggers to clear the back. Any tips would be appreciated.

Need some help matching up a rod for my new copper reel.... .....if I'm going to get in on this I want to have the biggest, badest rig on the fingers. Once I get this set up I'll need some tips on how to fish it. Thanks for any input....

Beautiful fish. I know that shaking feeling. Your worthless for a half hour till you get your composure back. Congratulations

Like Lil' Troller said,...it was a good day. Plenty of good quality Lake Trout to be had. No silver fish yet but they'll be up there in a few weeks. I went straight down to the 100' to 120' over 140' to 160' once I targeted lakers and wasn't disappointed. Took fish on dodger/flies and plugs, rigger & wire dip. All went back in good shape. Nice to meet Lil' Troller & Quality Time. Hope to see you out there again.

.....they haven't passed it yet and I'm still using my unlimited line permit. I just want to see if I can fish all day with only 3 lines and not get bored. -

....like I said , "there is always a trade-off".

Half the fun in fishing is the wishful thinking. There is always a trade-off with boats but here is one that may be a good place to start. http://www.arimaboats.com/sp21fostandard.htm

Proposed Region 8 Finger Lakes regs changes
stinger replied to Second Chance 22's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
I agree..... Killing one spawning bow in the tribs will take out more fish than the 3 rods per person on my boat will take all season. -
I have a few rentals available if anyone is interested....... [edit] Funny... but just a bit too much for this family friendly site OK,...sorry, I guess I pushed the limits again. I'll try and keep a better eye on myself.

This may help you with cable size> http://www.alternatorparts.com/wire_size_chart.htm and then look for something like this > http://www.amazon.com/2-gauge-20-Jumper ... B002TLWXWQ Heavy duty jumper cables are a easy way to run heavy wire in a nice neat bundle. Just cut off the clips and use proper connectors on each end.

Any reliable local weather reports?
stinger replied to spoonfed-1's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
Glen wanted me to thank all you guys for the trust worthy weather reports. Based on the reports and recommendations for RR he decided to stay home and fish. He'll post a report on todays activities as soon as he filets his catch. -

One of the guys posted this site not to long ago and it is as good as any. http://www.usairnet.com/cgi-bin/launch/ ... H&state=NY I also use this for a good look at the next 6 hours or so.....> http://www.intellicast.com/National/Rad ... imate=true -
Yes, ...they are the same blank. They are also kicking around the finger lakes under a couple of names the last 20 years. Carl Johnson, aka "old swede" had the jig for that spoon back in the `80's. By the time I met him in the early `90's he had closed up shop and sold all his stuff. He did keep 100's of blanks though and that's how I got onto them. Good stuff, ......just like needle fish .. .... 2 7/8" spoons seem to be a good all around spoon in the fingers especially if they can run good at 2.0 to 3.0. BTW,....do you know what the secret pattern is?
-
Thanks Vic. I guess we all have a few of those blanks in our box. I just didn't know them as T-Spoons. A lot of the ones I picked up over the years were at the flea market type sportsmen shows. The most fish catching spoons I ever had were the ones called and made by " Old Swede". He sold his jigs when he closed up shop but the spoons kept showing. They are still kicking around under other names. Vary speed tolerant. That's probably why they worked so well. Pic of a couple I doctored up. .. blank look familiar? Sorry Sean, didn't mean to hijack your thread......you can share your pattern with us tho'

Can anyone post a picture of a T-Spoon? Not sure what blank you are talking about. Thanks. Boat will be out in 5 weeks.
