If you can jack your trailer to change tires then you should be able to change the rollers. Good luck with it neighbor.
-
I had to do a couple roller replacements on a 19' runabout i/o on a Caukins trailer once. I did it my driveway and never moved the boat or trailer. All I did was use a floor jack with a block of wood on the chime on one side and raise the boat a couple inches off the roller enough to pull the old roller off and install the new one. Just do it one roller bank at a time. You may need two floor jacks spaced out on one side depending which rollers you need to change.

PM "L&M" . He may have some parts. -
Thanks for the link relaxer. I checked them out and they didn't have the dodgers, just the flashers (Inticer). On another note a fellow LOU member was gracious enough to gift me ten 8" Opti-Dodgers.

You guys bailed me out on a spoon ID a couple weeks ago so now I'm looking for some 8" Opti-Dodgers. Seems that Opti went out of business and I was wondering if anyone knows if another company has their die to stamp out the 8" dodger and is making them. I'd like to get my hands on a few if they are around and don't care about color. I'll just color them up the way I like them anyway.

If you are going to spool a couple reels the easiest way to get a full spool on all is to first spool one of the reels with 1000' wire then top load the backer until it fills the spool. Now attach the backer to the other reel and wind it all on paying attention to the amount of backer so you'll know how much backer to start with on the other spool(s).

Sold / Closed Boat cover for 20'-22' Hardtop, Heavy weight 1200 denier
stinger posted a topic in Classifieds - Buy, Sell, Trade or Rent
I bought it in hast in October because my boat cover ripped and I wanted a cover for dust while it was in winter storage and then to use while the boat is at my house during the season. The cover is as brand new as it gets and was only on my boat while it was in a garage during the winter. I have a 19' Arima HT and bought one size up so it would cover the outboards. Well the cover is way to big for my boat and can't return it now (my bad). It is a heavy duty 1200 denier fabric, not the cheaper 300 & 600 denier ones. I paid $380.60 in October from Amazon. Asking $220.00. Pick up in the Binghamton, NY area only. This is the cover in Grey https://www.amazon.com/Budge-Denier-Cover-T-Top-B-1221-X6/dp/B00KG12ODO/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=Budge+B-1221-X6+Gray+20'-22'+Long+(Beam+Width+Up+to+106")+Boat+Cover&qid=1616351996&sr=8-5 Picture is boat cover on my boat while in storage. -
Thanks for the feedback Hank.

I did a search here and couldn't find anything about the Octopus, Hydraulic Steering Fluid. I going to be purging and refilling my Baystar steering and was wondering if any of you have used this stuff ? I have a Raymarine EV-150 autopilot installed also so I'll be using a couple quarts of oil to do the purging. Seen as it's made for marine use autopilots I thought that it would be a cheaper alternative ($33.00 gallon on Amazon) to the Baystar fluid at $25.00 a quart.

Good topic. The short version is whatever lure you choose they will have good days (or time of day) and bad days. If you are running through fish and not getting hit change something. Spin & Glows definitely have their place in your tacklebox. I like to make my own and use both, with and without a skirt. They generally produce lake trout but you'll occasionally get salmon and rainbows also. My leads behind a 8" dodger is 31". This rainbow was caught Oct 3rd, 2020

I have a 8' antenna and lay it down for trailering. Works real good and easy sneezy. I've have one of these on my boat for 19 years now and still going strong. https://www.amazon.com/Nylon-Ratchet-Style-Antenna-Mount/dp/B0000BXA8D/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ratchet+style+antenna+mount&qid=1614949047&sr=8-3

Flasher and Fly on finger lakes
stinger replied to Long time fisherman's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
kempie, If you really want to get the most enjoyment of fishing you should make your own lures. Here is a link to get you started making trolling flies. You don't have to make a big investment and you don't need anymore than the basics to catch some pretty nice fish on the flies you make. Once you catch your first fish on a fly you make you'll be HOOKED http://www.lakemichiganangler.com/tips/making_flys_directions.htm The best part of making your own flies is that you can make them quickly as the conditions change and the fly pattern change along with them. They only take about 10 minutes to make and even less time once you get the hang of it. You read a fishing report on Friday, you make the pattern Friday evening for Saturday's fishing trip. -
Not to booger up the topic but just want to throw this at ya. The best line to use is the one that you have confidence in. How shy do the think a fish is when it’s hitting a fly 20" +/- behind a 8" dodger or flasher. If the fish doesn’t hit it’s probably has more to do with the action, speed, color than the line between the dodger/flasher and fly. I’ve been making my own flies for more than twenty years and to be honest catch enough fish with my home-mades to satisfy most fishermen. So what line do I use? Ande 50# clear exclusively since the mid 90's. I buy it in 250 yd (1/4 lb) spools and never had a break-off. I have complete confidence in it. Disclaimer: I only fish the fingers so this may not apply to big waters. Also I’m bored and killing time till the end of March. Tight lines
