Hi Guys, I had to move to a different webhost and rebuild the site, but it's back online so you can register for the Salmon School. The new link to our home page is: http://www.lotsa1.org/index2.htm Thanks and hopefully we'll see you all there on the 24th and for the LOTSA Marketplace on the 25th. Tim

LOTSA Salmon School Deadline Approaching
Tim Bromund replied to Tim Bromund's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Still have serious issues at our web hosting company. Since I don't know how long it's going to take my hosting company to fix the issue, I have set up an email address for people to send their registration information to. If we get back online I'll let everyone know so that they can register and make the payment through paypal. If not I'll have to collect from them at the door (I'd rather not have to do that). As of right now there are still quite a few of spots left. Send your registration info, basically, Name, Address Phone No, email address and if you have any specific topics you'd like them to cover, we will be taking those suggestions until the 8th. Up to 3 topics per registrant. Thanks, the email address to send your info to is [email protected] Due to these complications, we will extend the closing date for registrations until January 18. Amish planer boards
Tim Bromund replied to power dive's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Not noticeably, I have the redwood boards and they pull like a mule. Wouldn't have it any other way. I got the Cisco Electric Planer Reels to bring them in. Tim -
The new blades look sweet. FWIW, what he calls his albino frog is what everyone else calls two face.

LOTSA Salmon School Deadline Approaching
Tim Bromund replied to Tim Bromund's topic in Open Lake Discussion
We're having some technical difficulties on our website at the moment. I'm working with our webhost to resolve the issue and it should be back online shortly. Tim -
The LOTSA Salmon School scheduled for Saturday January 24th is less than 4 weeks away. In Captains Paul Czarnecki, Greg Gehrig and Mark McClutchey we have the most powerful set of instructors to ever teach this annual event. They are constructing this class to be a “Hard Core†Salmon class targeted toward providing the “Experienced Weekend Warrior†with additional thought processes and skills to improve their Salmon catch in the limited time they have on the water. For those that haven’t signed up yet, the deadline to submit the topics that you want to make sure are covered in the Class is Sunday January 4th with the final cut off for signups set for Thursday January 15th unless we sell out earlier. Signups are progressing at around the same pace as we have experienced in the past with a large surge of signups normally occurring right after the Holidays. If you have enjoyed the Class in the past, don’t miss out on this one as it promises to be the best one yet.

That's a dangerous request to make to Buffy, er, I mean Ray :mooning: :mooning:

if you can swing it, the Cisco Electric Planer Reels will blow everything else out of the water. They even drag in the very hard pulling Amish Outfitter Boards without having to stop the boat or even turn towards them. They are a little pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for.

It affects all of them to a degree, Lake Trout and Atlantics most severely, but even kings to an extent. The first thing they do in the hatchery with the fertilized salmon eggs is put them in a thiamine bath to try to offset the effects of thiaminase.

Well, look at the bright side Brian, the Federal Hatchery hasn't managed to kill entire year classes of lakers in a while.

2015 LOTSA Salmon School Announcement
Tim Bromund replied to Tim Bromund's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Hi Bill,Yes, we're still taking registrations, we just had an hour plus conference call with Paul, Greg and Mark yesterday evening and it sounds like everything is coming together nicely. This should be a great Salmon School. I'm already looking forward to it myself, and I've been to every one we've ever hosted. Go to www.lotsa.org for details and registration. LOTSA Salmon School/Expo Hotel Info
Tim Bromund replied to Tim Bromund's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Did you book through hotels.com? I did earlier today for the 67 a night price through them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

If you’ve registered already, thank you. If you haven’t yet registered for this year’s class but are considering it or planning on it, you might find this information useful from the Niagara Falls Event and Conference Center: I just found out that the Quality Hotel & Suites is offering rooms starting at $67 per night. It is right next to the Conference Center and will be the Hotel of choice for the show. We are not sure how long that rate will hold so the sooner you book, the better. Our new web site should be available by 12/8 and will contain other Hotel and rate options but this is the lowest rate that we have seen. We actually heard that one of our attendees got it for $60 thru Hotels.com so you might try that first. They are located at: 240 First Street Niagara Falls, NY 14303 Toll Free: 1-877-282-1212 You will see more communication coming from the Conference Center as we get closer to the show but I wanted to get this out to you immediately to save you some money before they change it.
