  1. Hard switches. I'm not aware of any wireless remote setups for that kind of application. It wasn't a big deal for me since I don't use a mast, I run them off of my hardtop, so the motors are mounted to the rocket launcher at the back of the top and I have pulleys mounted to the front of the grab rails on top of the hardtop. Motors/reels on the hardtop with the controller mounted on the inside of the gunwale under the HT Pully at the front of the grabrail on HT Tim
  2. The only time I use the navigate to waypoint feature on my Simrad is when I'm heading back to port. I have a waypoint about 60 yards outside of the Olcott pier heads so I select that point on the GPS and tell the AP to go to that point. Tim
  3. I have the Cisco electric planer reels on my boat. They were pricey but well worth the money. My Amish Outfitter redwood boards pull so hard they were almost impossible to reel in manually. Tim
  4. Well, as a Bills fan, all I have to say is: HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa ...... gasp ......... HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa
  5. Yes, those are immature salmon (1 and 2year old fish).
  6. hmmmm http://www.tirerack.com/tires/types/trailer.jsp http://www.easternmarine.com/trailer-tires/ http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Tires_and_Wheels-sf-Tire_Only-pt-Radial_Tire.aspx
  7. I had a 15 lb chrome shark for a while (sitting on the bottom now due to an oops on my part), and the reduced blow back was great on it, but honestly, the 16 lb Torpedo Diver weight I'm using now blows it out of the water. I've never seen a weight with less blow back, even when running that rigger down 160-200', it is amazing. Tim
  8. still caught quite a few on the stingray size NBK, but had much better luck this year on the yellow NBK stingray (yellow instead of green edge). Tim
  9. sigh... I give up.
  10. Nothing wrong with that, That's all I ever do is sit on a bucket with my back to the wind. I like traveling light when I ice fish, if it doesn't fit in the bucket that's slung over my shoulder, hanging in the crook of the handle of my auger, it doesn't go on the ice with me. Tim
  11. And do the tire manufacturers recommend that you don't use their radial trailer tires on trailers?
  12. Jim, no offence intended, but are you not grasping the fact that there a a lot of radial ST Trailer Tires available? You seem to be continually confusing radials as car tires only.
  13. never noticed it with mine and I have a heavy boat
  14. I'm talking about otherwise identical spoons, for example, 3/4 oz cleos blue glow vs green glow, and yes, color HAS made a difference on too many nights to count. I've been casting side by side with people with the same spoons, different colors and one would be hitting fish regularly, the other not a sniff. Change color to what's working and start banging fish. Tim
  15. Jim, you mean car tires. There are all kinds of radial trailer tires out there.
  16. Yes, I've seen many nights out there where they were hammering glow blue and not touching glow green and vice verce, or they are only hammering glow red dot. Not sure why one color would irritate them into striking over another on certain nights, but I've been fishing those piers since 1986 and I've seen it happen so many times it's impossible to discount.
  17. I'd say high 20's, between 28 and 30 would be my best guess but that's just a WAG on my part. Tim
  18. PM Hank on here (Moderator - L&M) he's in Port Bay.
  19. I'd be lost without that wonderful musical, magical cable hum. Tim
  20. Sounds like was casting in the harbor, not trolling.
  21. No problem here using FireFox. It's probably an Internet Exploder issue. Tim
  22. Yes, there were a lot of fish jumping last night.
  23. 2 so far, a little 6 lb jack and a nice 25 lb, both males, 3/4 of KO Wobbler, one on a green glow, one on a blue glow. Pretty slow again. I believe these were the only ones caught off the west pier so far tonight. Tim
  24. I have a 1st gen bluechart in my Garmin 172C. Great maps, The card I have covers all of Lake Ontario to the St Lawrence and the Eastern Basin of Lake Erie to Long Point. I'm sure they must have that same card in the current generation. Tim
