  1. The spoon is a great spoon, that is why I need to replace the ones lost. Thank you all. Richard
  2. Ray, Refuring to the color of the spoon, not the football team. Thank you though Richard
  3. OK guys, I need help locating this spoon. I have seen a new version "Halo Miami Dolphin" but not the original version. I have checked a few tackle shops but have been unable to locate any. Does any one know of a site that sells the original version. Thank you for your help. Richard
  4. I do not get as many days on the water as you, maybe half. I am going on four years now with the same line. I know some people have posted the same amout of time but live on the lake. So, it should last you some time. By the way, you will love how the fish feel on the other end. Richard
  5. Like wise as well. Happy Fathers Day to all you dads. Richard
  6. Yes, love the big ones. If all the smaller ones make it to next year and beyond we will have a great couple of years to come. Richard
  7. Thank you very much for the pictures Rich. Richard
  8. I am not sure that I can fully agrea to that. Though my trip last weekend did show a lot of smaller fish at the Bar, I did manage my personal best. A 26.25 lb spring salmon that put up a great fight at the boat, wrapping four rigger cables and three other lines. If the other lines had not wrapped around her tail I do not think we would have taken her. Richard
  9. Way to go Rich. Glad you were able to get out and hit some fish.
  10. Great report SWII. Already looking forward to next year. See you at the motel again? Richard
  11. Gary, Hope to see you at the Fair Haven Challenge. I will give it to you there. Richard
  12. We arrived in Youngstown about noon on Thursday. Unloaded our stuff at the motel and hit the water for a couple of hours. We were able to go 3 for 5 for three hours of fishing, a decent king at 19 pounds, and a good laker at 10 pounds. The other fish was a king about 8 pounds. Water was cold and clear which made fishing a little difficult an fish spread out. Friday we were on the lake and fishing by 6:30 after fighting the 3 foot waves to get out to our area. Again, we had gin clear water and tough fishing. We managed seven for seven. An 11 pound king was our best. The rest were 3 to 6 pound kings and coho’s mixed. The good note was that the stained water from the Niagara was moving out due to the wind dieing in the afternoon. Saturday when we arrived to our fishing location we noticed The stained water had moved well beyond our location and we were into fish right away. We went 13 for 17 today with my personal best king of 26 ¼ pounds being the highlight of the day. A 23 pounder and several fish between 10 and 15 pounds along with an acrobatic 9 pound steelhead would finish out the day. Sunday we went out onto the lake to find all the water to be stained. Found fish right away but they were all of the 3 to 5 pound class. We decided to leave this group of fish to see if we could find better size fish. We searched the rest of the day. Managed a good run on the wire diver out 200 feet, but lost it after about a 250 foot run. We went 11 for 15 with the best being about 10 pounds. Over all a great trip, just the average size was a little smaller. There are some great fish out there but the weather needs to get a little more stable to set things up. Meet up with Storm Warning at the motel to compare notes a couple of days. A great group of guys. Hope all went good for all. Tight lines. Richard
  13. I will be at the Niagara Bar Thursday afternoon to Sunday night. Head back home the 500 miles Monday morning. Richard
  14. I am not sure how the fishing has ben over there but from other reports around the lake I would say you might be fishing too high. I am hearing of all fish coming from 40 to 100 feet down over 120 to 250 feet of water. On the other had I would have thought you would have caught some browns in the area you were. Good luck Richard
  15. Check your connections from your charger to the battery. I know I had a charger once that I had to move the alligator clip around to make a good conection. But over night should be all you need to be charged. Good luck. Richard
  16. I would assume the antennas are too close together. If you can, remove the VHF antenna and hold it by hand as far away from the radio antenna as you can and try it. I think the static will be less or gone all together. I have my antennas on the opposite side of the boat for that reason. Good luck and tight lines. Richard
  17. Adam, Thursday the 22nd to Monday the 26th. Richard
  18. I have four Mag 10's. Yes, you need to be in the water to have the auto up function to work as noted above. On land you will have to hold the button up to continue retrieving the ball. Good luck out there. You will love the auto stop function. Richard
  19. Nice job Adam. Are you going to be around Memorial day weekend for a drink or two? It will be dad and son with me this year. Richard
  20. May I ask where this Youngstown facility is? I will be up there the weekend of Memorial day. I know the LOC is over then but I just want to support the local shops. Richard
  21. I have used mono in the past before I picked up some wire rigs a few years ago. Now the wire rigs out perform everything else for the bigger fish and are also more or equally as consistant as any other presentation. Tight lines. Richard
  22. I have an eight foot beam as well. 19' Smokercraft Ultima. I run the 13# torpedoes from A-TOM-MIC on all four riggers without any issues. My father (god love him) has turned my boat on a dime while trolling and I have never crossed lines or cables. Now that being said we will probably cross something this year just because I said this. Tight lines all
  23. I do as stinger does. Works great for me as well. I have two or three of the same color in each slot. Richard
  24. I have had Cannon Mag 10's for five years now. No complaints and absolutly love the short stop. Richard
  25. My vote is also for out west. I will be at the bar the following weekend. I have had great trips your week and the week I am going for the last four years. I fish out of a 19' multi species boat (Smokercraft 19 ultima) Good luck and have fun Richard
