Mounting Hardware - Regular bolts vs Stainless
waterlogged replied to waterlogged's topic in This Old Boat
Thanks everyone that was a big help. CLarke -
Hey Guys and Gals, Need some help here Come on all you scientists out there!!! Remounting my electronics on the new horizontal dash board section of my aluminum boat. Is it a problem with using two different metals - stainless hardware and aluminum hull - will they react with each other and cause oxidation when we put through holes in the aluminum to mount the bases for the electronics? My son the electrician says we could use de-ox (whatever that is??). Or am I ok with using the stainless to mount them with? Thanks, Clarke

Sweet Ride Fishman08, Always liked those Cherokee boats.

Hookedup, Grab the Youngstown Motel if you can. Bruce and Darcy are great folks. Very nice rooms and clean. Used to even put out home made baked goods for in the morning in the hospitality room. Haven't been there in years but many others I know have stayed there and never a complaint. Clarke

Nick, Awesome ride, partner!!! VERY Jealous!!! Clarke

tree top flyer, if you are going to spend the $$$ go with quality you will be better off in the long run. A little more invested now will pay off. try www.amishoutfitters.com they have 2 models - beefy bags and buggu bags. No association here with them but quality is outstanding from what I hear.

Edd, You must fish with Ray K!!!!

Well said Eric. I totally agree, though we have cut costs and opted for the conservation rather than the sport license and dropped from the season to the eight day. Clarke

BP, We run a Lowrance Ifinder H20 handheld and that shows the boundary on it. Clarke

BP, If you go to the link below from Maptech Mapserver you can see the green can is not very far east of the international boundary. I don't know what it would relate to in feet but it isn't too far. http://mapserver.mytopo.com/bp/mapserve ... ontype=DMS Clarke

Here's a repost of the information I got from the Ontario MNR. Over the weekend I heard that Ontario now requires an additional card besides you non-resident license. True All of the following are still available at the Ontario MNR toll free number as long as you call 5 weeks prior to your fish date and at most (1,800) license issuing locations. That toll free number (same number as in the past) is 800-667-1940. Non-Canadian Resident Temporary Fishing Outdoors Card - $9.00 good for 3 years Sport Fishing Licence Tag - valid for the calendar year - $68.00 Conservation Fishing Licence Tag - $41.75 Eight-day Sport Fishing Licence* - $43.50 Eight-day Conservation Fishing Licence * - $25.25 One-Day Sport Fishing Licence (Great Lakes and connecting waters including Lake St. Clair, Rondeau Bay, St. Lawrence River and Lake St. Francis) Available from many charter boat operators, licence issuers and ServiceOntario offices along the Great Lakes and throughout Southern Ontario - $18.25 * Eight-day fishing licences are valid for eight consecutive calendar days. A calendar day is a 24-hour period starting at 12:00 a.m. Aggregate Limits for Trout and Salmon – In addition, throughout the province there are standard aggregate limits for all species of trout and salmon in combination: S – 5 and C – 2; that is you may only catch and keep in one day or possess no more than five trout and salmon in total under a Sport Fishing Licence or two trout and salmon in total under a Conservation Fishing Licence. NOTE: In addition to the aggregate limit, you may not exceed individual species limits where they are otherwise stated. (e.g., the S limit for Atlantic salmon is one and you may not catch and keep or possess more than one Atlantic salmon at any time). _________________ Clarke - Waterlogged

It was a real pleasure renewing old friendships of those LOU members I have previously met at many of the events. Tall Tails, Tim Bromund, Yankee Cranker ummmm /I meanTroller, Unkle Jim, Tom Katt, Fishinman, Big Dave, lets see I amsure I forgot someone... and to those new face I got to put names to.... Ray K., Double Whammy,Wrong Rod, Black Dog, FX, Joe (sorry I don't remember your board name or perhaps I never heard it). again I am sure I have forgotten someone...CRS you know when you get to my age!!! Chowder ... sorry I didn't get to talk with you didn't know it was you untilafter Livewire (Jim) told me...I'll be more polite next time. Had a great time visiting with everyone. We too left a bit early and glad we did as those N-S roads out in the western part were a little dicey onthe way home. It was beautiful the farther east we went and the remainder of the ride home to Cortland. Hope everyone made it home safe .... you to Ray Clarke

Sign Up Sheet @ Holiday Inn - Lockport
waterlogged replied to waterlogged's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Hey Rick - don't snore no more - got lts of cmpany - but keep Ray away with that vaseline and ropes!! -
Hey Guys and Gals, I talked with a couple board members about this idea and they thought it was a good idea. I thought it might be nice if at the Holiday Inn front desk there was a sign up sheet for LOU members. We could sign in with our board names and/or real names and our room number so we knew who was there and what room they were in if someone wanted to visit. You don't have to sign in either if you don't want any unwanted visitors, it's totally optional. But I know I would like to meet some people and put faces with the names and maybe even have a couple "pops" together. I talked with the front desk and they said the first one to get there should mention that we want a sign up sheet and they will provide something for us. We are arriving Friday night and staying Saturday night too but I doubt we will be the first to arrive as we won't leave Syracuse until 3 p.m. putting us in Lockport around6 p.m. I estimate. Just a thought.
