i just make a redneck sheath for my knives. all my meat cutters do the same. just cut 2 pieces of cardboard a little bigger than the blade. duct tape them together. instant sheath.for transporting knives go to the hardware store and get a piece of threaded pvc. glue on a bottom piece then get a screw on top. the 6 inch holds 5 large knives. the sheath saves you $30 so that is 2 more flasher fly combos!

i usually run #1's with regular rings. but when the fish go deeper than 100 i break out the mags.

like stated above. white, white /green dots, white/blue, silver, green double glow. as far as flies, attommik b-fly original, hammer, green crinkle, white. a big winnie fly that has been really good first thing in the morning is rons morning wood with a white/blue flasher. the b fly original is a sunny day fly run it with the silver flasher.

i know the strain in the finger lakes is much worse than the ones in lake ontario.

if the fishing is good i dont run mine down the shute. if it is so so i run it.
