Thats easy for you to say Scott. I am on vacation this week and was looking forward to fishing it. I am not on vacation next week. This really blows. I understand why they canceled it but it s.u.c.k.s.

Went up and fish with Spoonfed today. The fishing was pretty slow. 1 for 2. we had 5/6footers with and 8or 9 footer every once in a while. Glen fished yeasterday and did pretty good. They landed a nice king at 7:51PM the fish bottomed out his boga grip so he put it on his digital scale on land, 33lb 11oz. He cut the fish up and was not happy about it. ====================

I have used trolling bags in the past and they work great. A happy troller came with my new boat so i tried it. Used it once and never again. Bought a couple of new bags for it from bigpapa sports.

i run a 8 foot leader and it seems to work ok. as far as speed do you have a down speed probe, if not start around 2.5 -2.8 sog

it really depends on what down speed unit you have and if it is calibrated if possible. the sub troll on my boat is from 1.9 - 2.25. i have trouble getting spinnies to work on my riggers. they work a lot better on my wire dipsey rods.

I keep a few salmon mostly fish hooked deep and some fish the are caught on the wire dipsies. Some of my friends don't get on the lake much so when then caught adult salmon they wil keep them. some guys that fish the Pro-Ams give their fish to the Coast Guard.

I've had them so long i can't remember where i bought them. I think it might have been the salmon shop in oswego. he does not have much left in the store so i don't know if he has any. Tom (atommik) has them. If we go sunday and have time to stop at screwy louies i will check there for you. I think you pancake weights are getting caught in currents and when you turn sideways to the currents the probe rigger gets tangled. Maybe i am wrong but you should not be getting tangled up.

i went to the DMV yesterday and got my enhanced license. You need your birth certificate social security card or a resent w-2 and a couple of pieces of mail with your name and address on them. it was pretty easy and cost $40.00. It will get you in canada if you drive. It is no good if you fly.

maybe i run mine to long, but i catch some fish flasher/flies - 20 to 35 spoons -25 to 40

If i am running 4 rods this time of year i have 3 flsher/flies and 1 spoon. Don't be afraid to put a j plug on also, its getting to be that time of the year.
