  1. I did not see any northport nailers on big lake outfitters website.
  2. Glen Thanks for the info. I thought they would work better than that. I still have to put a few down.
  3. I have been thinking about trying something different, Storm wild eye swim baits for browns and salmon. I think for browns the 3" size would work great. I want to try the 4" for salmon off a rigger but i don't know if the hook penatration will be good. Any thoughts?

  5. I think any week day at 8:00pm would be good. Maybe Chad could set up a time and post it.

  11. I've had my subtroll since about 1995 and love it.
  12. dsco, All the launches on Cayuga a 2wd should be o.k. but i would recommend a 4wd. if the launch gets slippery from slim on the launch you might need a tow if you have 2wd. i have only had to use my 4wd once but i was glad i had it.

  14. lineguy, as far as depth, for every 3 feet out your depth is 1 foot on a #2 setting. That is the guide i use. 240ft out is 80ft down. In the fall a j plug on wire can be hot.
  15. I bought 2 spools from Howies and a 6 pack of my favorite howie fly. No shipping and no tax.
  16. I go to Wally World and by mine there too. I get 2 years out of them and replace them. I do not want to get to the lake and have a battery issue.
  17. Ray, I have a 3.0 Merc and the dealer told me to run high test. I have never tried nid grade with a octane booster. never been a big fan of additives.
  18. My laker set up is dodgers and flies on everything in the water. Same colors and speed as Dan.
  19. I would think he could at least put in the log/lat numbers!
  20. Mike , I use 30# braid for backing on my leadcore. The reason you use it is because you let out all the leadcore line and then set the rod in a holder. When Mr. King hits it he will peel off line.
  21. My father hated to fish but, he always took me every time i asked him. he even rented a cottage every year on fairhaven or st lawrence river so i could fish for a week straight. i thought he was having fun but... He was a great man! Keep your kids fishing and hunting and they will turn out good.
  22. Either Myers or Long Point. Treman is to far from my honey hole in August.
  23. I think a one man limit is the way to go also. 3 Lakers and 2 trout/salmon. Best total weight wins. Sundays are best for me, Saturdays I work. Launch were you want, some of the guys live on the lake and some people fish towards the southend of the lake.
  24. Welcome to the site slider. You will really like the mag 10's. I cranked my riggers for 6 years and man it is nice to just flip the switch. Have you bought a couple wire line set ups yet?
  25. Andy, You do make the best beans in the world. Would you like to share your recipe on the world wide web? I hope business is not to overwelming for you this summer so you can wet a line with your daughter this summer.
