i was fishing with spoonfed about 7 years ago and we went out in the morning to a log field that was probably 1/2 a mile by a mile long. It was impossible to troll. I never go out before sun up just because of debris.
I have an older garmin and it is way off on Cayuga too. The first time I used it there I was very disappointed. It is good on Ontario.

i have a trolling bar across the back of my boat and I am going to remove it. If you have enough freeboard think about just doing 3 riggers across the back.
ok thanks for the advice. I will make the 553 into a 400 maybe a 450.. John I will be in Wilson for 4 days in mid may. we slip my boat at the Wilson boat yard. maybe you could hook me up with a rod for my new copper.
I have a friend who is looking at a boat in pa. will he have to purchase the boat then come home and register it then go back and pick it up with the ny plates. it is a 5 hour round trip for him. is there an easy way to get it done.
