Made our first trip of the year to Fair Haven due to the junk floating in Cayuga, it was well worth the drive. Went west out of the chute, picked up a brown as soon as we got the second rod in the water, trolled west for a little more than a mile and turned back east, stayed in 6 to 15 fow, surface temp was 45 to 46. went east of the chute to the Bluffs and found some real dirty water with surface temp of 55 to 56 had a blast in that stuff. On the day we went 11 /21, had a rookie on the rods it was a riot watching. Here are 2 of them. Bottom one weighed 7lbs didn't weigh the top one. Good Luck to those in the derby. Splitshot115

I've got the same reel with a whuppin stick roller guide rod and 600 ft of copper on it. It's a great combo for those bottom hugging Lake Trout. Splitshot115

Doug, Check your connection between the foot pedal and the motor, make sure they have good contact. #2 make sure foot pedal is dry. I had this problem with mine, replaced board in motor, but the problem ended up being the foot pedal connection, work fine now and I have a spare board. Splitshot115

dcso, If your going to pull any kind of boat I'd recommend a 4wd over a 2wd. That way your not limited to where you can launch. my 2 cents Splitshot115
