  1. Can one adult fish with 2 kids who are in the derby, or does there have to be 2 adults on board for one to be a witness? I just looked at the leader board and my boat would be on it if only I had registered. If I did we probably would not have caught a 20+ lb salmon Sunday. I think Ill get the nephews registered up and see they want to go fishing.
  2. Onyy had acouple hours to fish. Started about 5.30am. went east of creek 80 fow marked lots off bait and fish stayed on them for two and half hours with not on pole moving then a knock off on a glow spook so put out a couple black and white nks got one fish. It was a nice 20lb King in 100 fow down 70 got him mag Black/ white NK with red nose. Only fish for 3 hour but he fought for a good 20- 25 minute, one of those fish you pull all the lines in because you know he is going be nasty when he sees the boat. Marked alot of big fish out there, but only one in the boat. I gota feeling I should have skipped work, as I bet the fish turned on when the sun got out.
  3. I put 17lb from spin doc to flie then 20lb after spin doc so I only loose the flie and not the spin doctor and flie. My drag was set pretty light too. What does your set up look like? :?
  4. Left dock at 5am headed west mark good bait and fish at 45 so had to start there. Caught a nice steelie on glow frog down 40. Moved little deeper lost a major off my greenglow spin doctor green flie { the fish hit and ate about 12 inches of 17lb line upto the spin doctor. Only out for a few hour doing recon for afternoon run with bro law and kids. Second trip started about 1:30 head to were I left off no bait or fish moved deep and west off park 60fow marked fish and bait. Little nephew reeled in his first steelie, down 40 over 65. lost a 10-15lb coho right at boat glow frog down 40 over 80fow. Hooked into a screemer, ripped out lots of line 3 ttimes, cleared all lines knowing this was a monster and bro law lost him. First time for bro law and 3 kids, they are hooked even though we lost the big one.
  5. Are there fish out in the middle of the lake or are most the fish near shore? Would it be wort h going way out deep to look for fish? Isnt hteir a nice current out their that hold fish?
  6. I went out as well just east of creek before finding the fish. It looks like the lake has upwelled. My graph and the condensation on the rigger balls seem to indicate 30- 35 foot down the water gets very cold. So we fish the top and got a nice coho and a nice beautiful rainbow , one on lemon ice the other on purple thunder dow 30 - 35ft.
  7. That is the wildest video I have seen in a while. The only thing to make that better is if they used a 12 gauge semi-autos with say OObuck shot.
  8. Lots of fish out there at 95- 120 fow between the green can and light house. Caught several coho but not one king, great day for fishing and the catchin was pritty good to. best colors green and yellow down 40- to 70. lots of boats out .
  9. Did any one go out Saturday morning or night? Did the lake flip? Anyone know whats up with the attheoak fishing page, it hasnt been update in a couple day? Any info would be much appreciated. :?
  10. I have the green trophy 2 ur 3 docks up from ya, I live next to th e Ziglers.
  11. I got a new to me, 2052 trophy, that I look at as I go to work everyday wondering why its not in the water yet, oh ya global warming. Only took 3 years to convince wifie I was getting it for her as much as me.
  12. I traded up to a new boat with inboard, and now there is 5 inches of snow on the dock. Last year this time I had the boat in 2 weeks already and had caught lot odf fish. Global warming, not this Easter. I feel like a dog on a leash watching rabbits play just out reach. Hopefully next weekend I can break the leash and get out on the lake.
  13. I got the same pole from west marine , thanks again . The only problem is the gps antena connector wont fit in the pole I even sanded down the connectors. I had to wire tie the antena cable to the pole.
  14. Thats very cool , this board gets better and better every day, nice job.
  15. Thanks
  16. Anyone know were I can get about 4 or 5 foot 1" #14 threaded extention pole to mount my gps antena to? Its the same size as marine antenna. :?:
  17. I use accu wheather on my cell phone and it gives me live doppler radar. I can see storms coming, while im out on the water. Its a small screen obvously but very usefull especially in the spring time spring time.
  18. Well I finally wore the wifie down and just upgraded to a used Trophy 2052, in board. I would like to know if I need to worry about leaving it in the water in early spring say first or second week in April . Do I need to worry about water freezing in the engine baffels? Any help as usual would be appreciate.
  19. I dont have a down temp or speed. I always look for bait pod first then mark on gps then criss cross the pod till i find the direction that produces. If my riggers humm a certain tune and have the right angle I know im at a good speed and if I see fish going after my stuff I slow down or speed up to get the strike. Not to say I havent gotten fish on a blank screen. I still wouldnt mind getting down speed/ temp one day. With a good fish finder you can see the thermalcline anyway.
  20. Thats the one, thanks J.D.
  21. Last year one of you guys had a post with a very cool king salmon song could you post the link again. Getting some music ready for the season. Thanks ahead of time.
