Didnt think the wheather would allow some fishing this morning but it did. Have not been out in a week so it was good to get out even if it was just the dog I. We started 110 fow got one 8lb brown down 70 with a flasher/ modified nk purple thunder. Stayed in 120 to 150 fow missed 2 off the spin doc green fly combo and lost another off glow frog mag, all down 70 to 80 fow. fished. Nice to get out Ive been haveing with drawl all week hopefully will be out after work this week. I need to get my fix of a good drag screeming King.

It was sold sorry i didnt post -
Set up in 80fow right out front hooked up before could get all rods in , 5lb brown down 60 nk glfrog. Caught a few more between 80- 100 fow all down 50 to 65 on greens yellows, must be some warm water down there. The screen looked great. Moved west of Hamlin beach found some quality Steelies. Got a 12lber and lost one that was even bigger right at the back of the boat. The big one hit the Spin doc green fly down 74 in 130fow Took my fishing buddies and his bro out ( who had never been lake fishing) boy did his eyes light up when we handed him the pole with just a 12lb steelie on the other end jumping all over the place. He is now part of the fishing addiction club. The only bad thing, it wasnt the rain that was nice, it was all the inconsiderate blow boats out there. We had a nice one on and a sail boat saw us fighting the fish and manuvering and he never changed course, he got 30 ft of us and I had to make a hard left tangling some lines, what a D-bag. I know they have the right of way but he could have very easily tacked away from us ( sailly boat take for turn)We did get the fish in, but man there must have been 20 blow boats out there and we had to dodge them as they were every were.

More pictures I think IMG]http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k214/fishbandit/17lbkingjuly7.jpg[/img] Great day on the water -
Got out little after 5am headed east, got a couple between can and light house 170fow down 62 with lemon ice mags and other yellow/silver spoons. Then head toward the nose set up at the pump house, but first jumped in the lake to cool off aaaaya thats good stuff. Set up in 100 to 140 fow down 60 to 70 took a few more lemon ice and habinaro, also one with bud light off the core out 200. The screen was blank by light house but we caught more fish there. The nose was a nice picture on the graph. The fish sizes about the same in each area. We went 9 for 12 or so? The best being a 17lb and 20lb kings and a 8 and 9lb steelies. I think here are some pictures?? IMG]http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k214/fishbandit/9lbsteeliejuly7.jpg[/img]

We got out Sunday morning good stuff at 100 fow got a couple little fellas down 60 -80 off black and purple mag nks. Talk the wifie into going to watch the sunset, really wanted to get some more fishing in and take the dog out for a ride. Got a coulpe and one nice King I hope you can see the picture??? :?: Got this 18lb in the same area 100-120 fow down 65ft with mag black magic with a little glow tape on it. I hooked the fish up then handed the wife the pole and let her reel till she was tired then I got it in the boat. Good night we even saw the the sunset, so we were both happy Got out again Monday morning 630am set up samearea put a spin doc down 65fow and had a fish on for 30 sec and it cut through the thick lead on the fly :?: :? , sure would have loved to see that fish? we did a few others nothing big but a good weekend of fishing out on the lake.

Ya we were in the green Trophy walk around. Orange rapals j-11 with 2 - 3 split shots on the line staight off back and off boards. We didnt fish the surface till we saw them jumping. I heard ya call out on the radio, but till that point we hadnt boated a fish , I dont like talkin much on the radio "its better to be thought of as fool than speak and remove al doubt" -
Whats the max depth anyone has gotten with just leadcore? Has anyone set up lead core so you start out with mono 200ft or 300ft then 3 or 4 color core then 100 foot mone then 3 more color core then 50 -60 foot mono to swivel? Its seems to me if you do this you can have a 3 color core and a 6 or 7 color core on one pole? Could you splice the the core in in diffrent sections/ number of colors so you can get diffrent depths dependind on how much line you let out? I realize you could spool up with core and it drops 4-5ft for every color, but if you want seperation from the boat?

We marked a bunch 70 down 150 fow in front of pump house couldnt get um to go. We moved over to 65 fow off the nose and got in to some silvers and cohos, off the top. Knew we were in a good spot when the fish were jumping around the boat. Nothing big but more than we've been doing last couple trips . Didnt turn our first fish till 11am or so :? It seems like there havent to many boats out front fishing, must be gas price are keepin alot guys off the lake, or they are waiting for things to set up better?
