  1. Looks like the planner masts are speedtrolls They were popular out on Lake Michigan.
  2. Its funny I had limped for so long that when Iwas walking with out a limp it flat out killed my back. Everything is good now though. Boat thearphy is the best though.
  3. Good luck with the knee. I like mine, Much better than what I had.
  4. Happy Birthday Mark.
  5. If you fish in front of the river fish tight to bottom. Other than that go out deeper and you will find steelhead and 2yr old salmon. Cayuga is a good bet too the landlocks will be headed for the South end and they hit the same flashers and flies. Stingers and other smaller spoons. Remember to have fun while you figure them out.
  6. Walleye guys do it. you are backing up with the stern slowing the boat up. They use a tiller engine to follow a conture slowly.
  7. Napa has ends like those
  8. Happy Birthday Hank, Have on Ray.
  9. Thats quite a fish!!! How long was that leader , it looks like ith 4' long to the spin dr.
  10. steady Ray steady!!!!!
  11. Had to fix it for him. He dosen't like the way I mow the front lawn. So he mows it all summer . Gives me more time to fish
  12. Thats just what was going on with the neighbors mower . All it was , was the valve adjustment.. the decompression valve works off the valves. If they are out of adjustment , it can't work. It was easier to adj the valves than pull the starter off.
  13. Bright obnoxious colors tic them off to smack the lures. Lime green ladderback j-plugs , orange , yellow too.
  14. Red or orange flasher or dodger . Coho's love these and maybe an Atlantic
  15. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. If you had a boat you would have been good!! My daughter lived in Owego, she and the two grandkids and her husband, her neighbors two adults and three kids all are staying with us. They have just been able to get some stuff out of their apts. today. The underpass on rt 38 is still full of water. Rt 81 runs on the high ground through bing.
  17. Works for us. Great batt. life too!!!
  18. There may be an update that makes it easier. I am at the back of the boat and my fishing partner does all the button pushing Once you find the trick it will be easier . You should be able to start a new trail and pick the color. We put differant colors each day we fished the LOC. but I don't know how ours is the HDS10
  19. 3 to 1 180' of 30# wire is 60' down. on a #3 setting towing a flasher and fly. After 100' down I think you lose out with the drag on the wire.
  20. I know this isn't a boat problem, but My neighbor had trouble with his ridding mower starting. 18.5 hp briggs and stration engine. Charged the batt. checked the starter it still wouldn't start. Tried jumping with extra batt still the same. When cranking it was like the starter didn't have power to crank it over on the compression stroke. Cleaned all the wire ends and still the same. Found a vidio online that solved the problem. It seems that the overhead valve briggs and stration engines have trouble with the valves adjustment backing off. Adjusting the valves solved the problem. Everyone was treating the symtoms and not the real problem . Just something to think about when trying to fix our boat problems. Find the real culpert.
  21. Thanks he got the info. He has been hitting the erie canel somewhere out there..
  22. Its not that far to run from mex. pt and you won't have any problem there.
  23. Thats a good idea. I have been in that same spot other years, Its ok once you get in there. We were over in the store loop , you can see and hear the waves there before you get out of bed.
  24. We were in site 104 where were you?
  25. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name:Loon Feather ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):Fall Derby Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: YEP!!! Surface Temp: 72 Location: around 9 mi. LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: chrome e-chip and mirage attomic fly. Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Had a great time fishing the derby. No money fish, but caught a bunch. Got my fishing partner's grandson his first salmon. He turned out to be quite the rod hog after that. Thanks to Miss-Em for the tip on putting rod holders at the back of the boat for the kids. That worked great, otherwise 7year old Carson might have been pulled out of the boat with his 25# king. We stayed in close near 9 mi. to stay out of the winds and waves. There were plenty of kings and cohos around the bottom in 65 to 85' to keep us busy. Great trip , hope to get back up there this weekend ====================
