  6. Take a look at the Raymarine EV 200. I had one installed last year on my 27' Amberjack and it is very nice.
  7. DEC is requesting informal comments on potential deer hunting regulation changes. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/104785.html I responded with comments today.
  8. My granddaughter had a Rem 700 in .243 that was purchased 2 yrs. ago. After seeing about the issue early last year and going to the Remington website, it was determined that hers was one of the ones that the trigger assembly would be replaced for free. Remington sent the shipping packaging, replaced the questionable parts, and paid shipping costs both ways. The whole process worked easily. I think the gun was gone about 2 months.
  9. Camera is a Spy Point that is a few years old.
  10. http://www.seriouspropertymarkers.com/ Have you looked at these? I have a few of the non-custom ones, but they will "mold" your info directly in.

  13. Had my archery target in my back yard pushed over sometime last night. I have deer close by but it seemed a little for this to happen.
  14. I am looking for suggestions for an app for the iPhone that would be useful while hunting. Would like to mark and name waypoints and get directions to them, etc.
  15. Does anyone have a good feel for how much depth is added to various coppers with various dive bombs? Also, where along the length of the copper are they most effective. ie. can I make a 450 copper into effectively 600 copper performance? , or a 300 act like a 450?
  16. Anyone have any data or idea of how much a particular size dive bomb will increase the depth of a particular length copper?
  17. I've been told the best months are Sept. & April.... FWIW Actually, I've sold 3 salmon fishing boats. 2 in March and 1 in July.
  18. Look within the edit function. I think that is where I found it once. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Also, note the new autopilots are NEMA 2000 and hooking them to your older NEMA 0183 GPS etc. is probably not straight forward. I;m no expert but am currently going through this as I just installed an Evolution 200 and am thinking it may be best to get a new NEMA 2000 GPS.
  20. Many times the bait & hooks will be consistent depth with good temp. You never want to ignore the marks though. I would normally fish the marks for kings unless they are way high out of temp. or right on the bottom (often lake trout). Remember, "temp" is a range. Many kings are taken not much above 40deg. and at times at and above 60 deg. Not much for thermocline yet but soon you will find a rapid temp change usually around 55 deg. Fish will often congregate above and below and in that zone.
  21. Your situation sounds similar to mine. I just had hydraulic steering and a Raymarine EV-200 autopilot installled on my 27' Amberjack earlier this year. If yours is like mine, you only have power steering on one engine and this prevents you from trolling with either engine (or you troll with one but have no power steering). For that reason, I went to hydraulic steering which allows you to run either. The Raymarine EV-200 is probably the right size for your boat and it works beautifully at all speeds. I'm still working on the steering being a little stiff at high load/speed but at lower speeds & trolling it also works very well.
  22. There were quite a few fish yesterday in 125-175 FOW between P'Ville and Hughes, mostly 50-60 down. Did not take any big kings but several in the 5-12 lb. category. Also took a couple LT and a steelhead. Riggers, dipseys, 10 color, all worked.
  23. Nice job. Looks like you got to use it too!!
  24. How big is the boat? Single or twin I/O?
