Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:6:30-9:30 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction:none-very light Waves: Surface Temp: 58-56 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 7 Total Boated:10 Species Breakdown:1 king,1 brown, 5 lakers Hot Lure: stingray gator, yeck lemon ice Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 70-110 Lure Depth: 70-50 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Snuck out in between the rain this morning weather was great for three hours. Setup in 80 fow, two riggers with sliders. One down 56 other 40, right away 56 rigger fired and was a very nice steelie on the slider. I had my slider at a length to long for me by myself so i tried to grab it and when i did he splashed around i let it go while holding leader and it snapped taking my chart nbk. Then i hooked into a king that went on a long run so i turned round because i was losing the battle and didnt want to break another, was 18 pounds took the stingray gator down 55. One problem ive been having are the 5 pound lakers that dont set the releases that a two pound king can release. I had one rigger fire and a decent king was on the slider and he came off because there was a laker on the other lure, this has happened a couple times. I also lost a very nice fish that hit a glow frog down 74 0ver 70, it was the strongest fish i have had on yet this sping, before next trip i will get rid of 15# floro and go up to 20#. All the lakers were between 5-8 pounds ====================

Matt, are you the guy with the red truck(chevy i think)? I was there just before you. You passed me at the turnaround. I ended up with three kings(2 skips) and 3 lakers in 240 fow, the kings were all caught in 180 fow and 8 pounds was biggest. The weather has been great the past couple weekends for us small boaters, and the fishing has been great too . -
Hey Tom, i new you looked familiar...i was taking my boat out just after you. We looked at each other like we new each other. New i should of said something. Me and the wife fished from 240 out to 350 and back to 160. Saw lots of fish caught two shakers and a teen king.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:6:15-11:30 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction:calm Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 10 Total Boated:9 Species Breakdown:1 laker 8 kings Hot Lure: wonderbread nk 28 w/wonderbread dipsey Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: 250-120 Lure Depth: 60-15 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================Got out and headed straight for deeper water. Setup and ran two dipseys and two riggers. Started out in 120 and trolled north didnt see anything till we got out too about 200 fow, then we slowly picked away. Only 2 king were in the teens and the others small, laker was about eight pounds. 40 feet up seemed to be the ticket exept our biggest king was taken on a green dot spin doctor with green glow fly. Craziest thing happened though and i couldnt beleive it...we had just caught a fish and i was putting the spoon back out, it was out about 30 feet and i was looping the line to put in the release when a good size king wacked it while it was in my freaking hand fluttering on the surface in 240 fow! Of course it broke the lure off and i watched it torpedo around the prop wash and surface trying to get the lure off. Was a beautiful morning out there too.

Who is the maker of these planer board releases?
gokudl3 replied to Gill-T's topic in Tackle Description
Are they good? Do they slide down the line nice? -
congrats that is one obese fish!

Took my daughter out for a short trip on easter to use the new otter boards. This one jumped right out of the water and made many more great jumps. She was pretty tired after reeling it in...said wait for the kings!
-
the measurements .... the old ones were 8 1/2" and 14 1/2". With the additional keel could i run 0 dipsey without a ring
-
Thanks Gill-T....That was the ticket, they ran perfect!!!
