The only thing you can teach me is how to sit in a hut on the ice and cath some perch. Call me when you catch a fish over 1 pound , and i dont think you would know what to do with 20# except floss your teeth with it.

Thanks junkie , looks like i will be there! Doug

If anyone is interetsed in a old motor(guessing 60's), hasnt been used in a couple years. Runs but needs some work (runs at trolling speed but when given gas slips into neutral or something, told the guy at raz and he said something about a clutch doggie or something ?) anyways if interested get in touch , just looking to get it out of garage, just give a offer . Also have two old gas tanks (basically antiques) pump on the gas can, really old evinrude ones, if anyone is interested.

Adam , those are some nice fish for sure , you and reeldial are really smacking them . I was up there on sunday and wednsday , will be going friday too . Sunday was very windy and i had trouble getting good drifts at times managed one 9 pound brown on a minnow , also used kwikfish and eggs , I was at artpark wathcing reeldial smack em . Wednsday whe i got there the bait shop was closed so i used kwikfish mostly , got one ten pound bow and lost another . I was using a K-7 greenscale with red nose , what size do you use ? K-5 , i think K-7 is to big . Friday i hope to have minnows and hope to get more than one fish Doug -

Hello to all , The site looks GREAT !! My name is Doug and i live in Hamlin , grew up in Brockport . Do pretty most my fishing at sandy creek . I am pretty new to salmon and trout trolling , and i am spending alot of time fishing sandy (before freeze) and the genny now , learning float tactics and so on . My mother and father bought a cottage on Wilson bay , Cape Vincent when i was five , so i was very lucky to have that at a young age . Love to fish the St.Lawrence river , Mud bay , Chamount , Black river . My greatest moment was when i was about thirteen years old . We had a 12' aluminum with a 3 horse (I trolled everywere) . me and my cousin who was also thirteen were out trolling along the beach of wilson bay , when i cought and landed a 44" muskie on large jointed Rebel silver and black . We also had no net , my cousin was so scared to grab it by the gill , he was crying . lol but he did do it . My best fishing moment yet There are so many places that i havent been to in our own state , and so much to learn . It is truly great to have such a vast amount of knowledge at my fingertips , and to learn from the areas best fisherman , i am greatfull and appreciate it greatly . Thanks guys Good luck to all this spring , be safe !

once u find the silt line , do you want to keep all lures in the dirty water or do you want to keep one in the clean , one in the dirty ? Is the dirty water generally warmer than the clean ? This will be my first season trolling for trout & salmon in the spring . I cant wait
-
He is probably trolling just muskie and walleye , the river gets very deep too .
-
That is the story i heard , the other picture is not the same fish . I dont think you are getting that fish in without a hook in its mouth . Im sure some of you remember i posted those pictures a while back with the same response of it not being cought in canada , im sure stories really change around when they gets some internet circulation . None the less both those pictures are amazing no matter where it was cought or how
