Here is a great article about one of our fellow members kingfisher06. He made a pretty big deal up north, the Wall Street journal even had a article about it

Lol Ray....I choose fishing over raking no matter the conditions, that's why my yard is usually knee high and infested with weeds

For spring browns if using inlines just let them stay on the line. With so many small browns out there you would have to really pay attention as they would barely pull the board back, I've never fished inlines so they slide down the line so that's why I say just leave them on.

This is all I use for my split shot rig and it's been crazy good, and this has been my best spoon. I started using two of these split shots and I got a snag so I went to one with better results. I been running three lines off each board and that's it. After I start taking fish eventually I will put the split shot rig on the inside out 80' and it's the most constant producer. Last time I was out I was solo so I just ran one board out, stick bait on the outside and two inside rods had split shot rigs. The stick bait didn't take a hit after first two fish but the split shot rigs kept be real busy. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I was near you from around cowsucker back to sandy. That Is a great day....that's funny you say bagley because I have one and ran it that day, gold and black. Could not keep fish off it, it probably took at least 15 browns itself. Amazing day

I got 10 out of long pond in a couple hours on Tuesday and they seemed to be spawned out. Seemed bizarre but there was no evidence like normal when I cleaned them

No Russian! You don't have to warn me about those guys. Last fall when I was skein fishing for kings at my favorite place when a boat with two older Russians pulled up right next to me. I left and they where later stopped for multiple violations. Keeping too many fish and I believe they where using some kind of trot line. I think the dec was just sitting and watching. I heard they took there boat and all there equipment

Some idiot decided they would just get rid of these beautiful fish. I talked to a guy fishing near them and he said they where there the day before and looked kinda fresh. The one is near ten pounds.

Awesome Joe...I got to say the highlight of my weekend was having my middle planner rod pulled out of my rod holder into the lake by the tow line, good bye! Wait...omg, my outside planner rod snagged the swivel on the leader of my swimming pole. I pulled it in by hand so all was good.

I spent just about every weekend of my child hood riding a bike from Wilson bay to mud bay to fish...as a kid there was nothing I wanted to catch more than a pike. I really miss that place

The resin you buy at walmart is poly resin I think, it's not nearly as good as epoxy resin which is much more expensive. You can use the resin without cloth to seal the wood and from what I read it's just not as strong. Epoxy is the best...spar is another good option and way cheaper...don't waste your time with Thompson water seal. Matthew and fields in off lake ave. has 1/2 inch marine plywood for 56$ a sheet, there best exterior plywood was near the same price...

I don't hunt, only fish....but I can't believe you would even consider shooting your neighbors dog! That's extremely messed up!

Little hard on the guy as he is not a professional fish cleaner...that's probably how 95% of people clean them and thanks for posting. I can't wait to be cleaning those tasty little guys!

Mitchell's in Rochester has whole herring you fillet yourself. You get 12 herring I think for 8.00-9.00$, 24 strips if you can fillet a small fish.

We had one hit, was a king in 70 fow. Trolled west off creek to nose and back in 100-60, we had a pretty good screen at points but like the past couple trips had a hard time getting them to fire. Off the water by 9:00, I had something I had to do.

That sucks! I know the feeling when you got a big boat barreling at you, wondering weather they see you or not! Hopefully karma nips him in the butt
