This last weekend I took my 200' copper off and put about 275' foot of wire with about 5 foot of 40 pound mono to clip to. I ran it off the otter boat with Scotty power grips and it ran fine. I changed my boat from a center console to a side console, doing that gave me alittle extra steering cable. When I ran my steering cable to the motor I made a loop with the cable in my gunpwhale so it would meet the motor better. My question is if making a loop with the cable would be the reason my steering seems to get tighter and tighter.
