All depends on the day, some Days/years they want it fast, some they want it slow. I remember a few years ago I was running 1.8-1.9 down speed, anything faster and you did not get a touch. Let the fish tell you what they want!!! Good Luck Capt Rich NY Guide Service Lake Ontario Charters Salmon River Drift Boat trips Waterfowl Hunting.

No, I keep my boat at Salmon Country. They are out there, buddy of mine was out with a charter, had 3 in the box as of 700. It was a FF bite for him his morning, sounds like they want it a little slower than normal. The fish he had were mid teens-low twenties. Good Luck guys, I did get my first hint of fleas yesterday, that was on my 12lb rod. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

That runs approx 22' per 100' of copper. A lot of variables, speed, what you put behind it, etc. but figure close to area. Welcome to the dark side. Lol. Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

We were 4-5 on kings and a nice steelie this morning. Best King action was west. From the plant west, nice break setting up, F/f and Spoons took our fish. Mag Dippys out 200, 300 copper and 90' rigger. Lots of bait to contend with. Good luck!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Ok let me know when you are around, I will look it over. I have been running them years and never had a problem. I am almost to the point that all I run is slide divers. They are a great tool, and catch a ton of fish for us. Let's get this figured out for you!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

What are you looking for? Friday thru Sunday we had kings, steelies, a couple lakers, never put a rig down for them, a couple nice Atlantics that were released, and when the water was dirty we hammered the Browns. Browns were in the dirty water in 5-30', we also took a king in that water. Fishing the 50-100' fishing the top 50' was where we took the rest of our catch. Short cores, and divers were our studs. Stingers and stingrays took all of our fish, normal colors, diehard, SSWaddler, grn glw alewive. Down speed was 2.5-2.6. This wind coming this weekend will Deff change things up a bit, unfortunately. Good Luck. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -

It was a tough day for most, no big numbers today, we ended with 2 kings, a steelie and dropped a big steelie. Fished the 60-105', covered the water column, and found out targets. More and more bait showing up everyday, keep at it you will find them. Stingers and stingrays, on short cores, divers and riggers all produced fish this weekend. Our best down speed was 2.5.
