  1. Have been using the knot connection for years, never had one break. Have had crimps fail in the past. I have even gone to using the knot on my rigger connections. Capt. Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. You are looking at 2 boats for a group of 10. Our licenses only allow up to 6. Most charters can set up another boat for bigger groups. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Have been told pickerel is very very good, you just need to fillet them properly. Someday I will try it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The 587 and the 585 are the same screen size, just the 587 has updated computer in it. IMHO you are a tad over priced, like Tim said. Now if it is was a thru hull diff story. Good Luck with the sale. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Rob, Just bite the bullet and do the thru hull, you won't be disappointed!!! Marking fish and bait on plane at 20-25mph!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. The ciscos are awesome!!! Built rock solid and much heavier duty than Big Jons!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. I was finally able to get the boat out on the lake, which ended up also being the first trip of the season. As in years past we had to find the dirty water, and the temp was there, along with the fish. Stingers in diehard uv, and pickle seed were top dog yesterday, run on short cores pulled off the big boards. Not sure of exact number landed, but many cookie cutter bts, that were released, 2 lakers up to 12 lbs, and a bonus 14 lb King. Speed was Deff a factor yesterday also, 2.8-3.0 SOG was the ticket. A couple pics of today... 11. This is a direct quote off the Cisco site: As of February 2015 the new motors will have two times more torque than our previous motor for a grand total of 50lbs/in. per revolution! Plus they are sealed tight, just installed my new electrics and WOW, incredible workmanship, from the unit right down to the switch assembly. 15. The Original x4d does not have speed at the surface. The new one with the red screen, and Bluetooth does have speed at surface. I have the original, and have no need for speed at surface, I always go by SOG, and I always have a probe in the water. Just my personal preference. Either way it is the best on the market IMHO!!!! 16. I have the exact same layout as this boat, lots of room, these boats were made to be canyon runners out on the ocean. Guessing close 90-100sq ft cockpit space, wide open no dog house. A Deff dance floor, great layout for our type of fishing. Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  18. I posted in the other thread, the ice pack is well offshore now due to the SSE winds we have had. But those winds are changing this afternoon, time will tell if the ice comes back. Have seen a lot of floating debris from trees to docks float by. Be cautious if you go out. Still plenty of ice bergs around also. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I see a boat going out of wrights..... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. There is no webcam for the bay, he is talking about Oswego webcam, look back a few posts is the link. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Launch is open, most of the ice is gone, I watched it float by today. Still lots of shore ice, that will be breaking off and floating around. If you look at the wind forecast, watch whatnot does tomorrow night. Gale warning in effect through Saturday with west winds. We will see what that does to the ice pack, which is 5-7 miles out and a touch north. Don't be in too much of a hurry, the season is just starting, would hate to see someone hit an iceberg, or floating debris. If I see any changes tomorrow I will update. Capt. 22. Ice has pushed out off nine mile, it is 4-6 miles out. If the winds keep offshore, should be pretty good by the weekend. But the winds are supposed to switch and blow hard west Friday night thru Saturday mid day. Time will tell what happens, lots of big chunks floating around now, will keep updating as we get closer to weekend. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
