  3. So true Pete, have never seen lakers act like that for so long. Guess we should have dropped out offerings deeper to get out of them, that's what I bet will be the response. As far as the coho survival, we will have to wait for what we are told. I am going out on a limb to say it was a Thiamine issue, but some will know this week, others will know next week with the meetings. Popping the popcorn as we speak for how these meetings are going to go. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Seagate 60 will fit the bill perfectly, with more than enough backing. You won't be disappointed!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Furuno, there's a reason the majority of the commercial vessels on the ocean run Furuno!!! You won't be disappointed, do it right the first time. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Day and night difference between thru hull and transom mount. IMHO have had both now, will never go back transom ducer. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. That's the shoot thru, not the true thru hull. Thru hulls have the ducer actually protruding out from the hull. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Do yourself a favor and go Thru hull, much better readings while on plane!!! Then you also won't have to worry about cable length. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Another vote for the Seagates, you will not be disappointed with drag and speed!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Daiwa Heartlands, best bang for the buck, or if you really want to get long term investment, Fish Doctor custom rods!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Mark, the owner is a great guy, if he is not there to answer he will call you back as soon as he gets your message. A great product, and great customer service!!! I have one controlling my T25 on my boat!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Yes, you either have to buy a club membership, usually around $25-50, or pay the state fee which is outrageous to register your sled. Better off to buy the membership, imho. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. It is open at nine mile, about 300 yards of slush along the shore. All it takes is a shift of the wind and she will be wide open in the bay. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Signed!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. The reason I suggest the jack plate, is when it gets rough you can drop it down a touch and never cavitate the kicker. Also works great to change the oil without pulling the boat. I split my platform, and can stand on the back and change the oil. If you look back on here from last spring I believe there is pics of my setup. I have the custom bracket made for our Thompson, but the Jackplate is so much nicer!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I can troll all day burns 3-5 gallons depending on wave conditions, and that is on the high side. It is plumbed into one of Main tanks, Deff a lot less than running one of the mains. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Do yourself a favor and go no less than a High thrust 25. I put one on last year, have a 29'aquasport express, this motor does an incredible job. I was trolling into 5-6' seas with no problems. I also run a Controllking throttle control on it. Let me know if there is any other questions. Good Luck Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Do yourself a favor and get a hydraulic jack plate. I put a t25 on the back of my Aquasport, love the setup. It is a kicker jack made by Bobs jack played out of Florida. Very heavy duty!!!! Let me know if you need any more info. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Snap lock to the spoon, inline swivel about 6-8' above attached to the florocarbon leader. Good Luck Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Not sure Glen, but had 4 within 1 year use and 1 of those out of the box. Terrible!!! To say the least, puts a bad taste in your mouth when you spend that amount on a reel for it to have junk drags. Was not sending them back to Shimano, sent out to tuna tom, came back and they were nice. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. X2 for the Saltist, like Brian said, smoothest drags, and fast retrieves! Had Tekotas, had to send them out for new drags. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
