  1. I am hearing that the meeting was cancelled, is this true? We had our guides association meeting this week, and the president said he received am email saying the meeting postponed. Good Luck on your trip to the west coast!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. We let the fish tell us what they want. Some days 4-10', others 12-20, and some days they want it stretched way back, 25-40'. I usually start with staggered leads and adjust to what is producing. Good Luck. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Spot on Rick, fish are still coming into the bay. Temps were way down, and then river temps were mid 70's yesterday. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. I will be out of Mexico tomorrow. It was very very good today, from the plant to the pond. Limits taken by most, 95-150' 95' down was temp. Good Luck tomorrow. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Sweet!!! Great way to end the season!!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Plant side, but there is fish either place. Boats are taking fish from The plant all the way to the pond. It has been a very early morning bite, then it dies for a few hours and picks back up again. Good Luck. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. Mexico was very good today, 85-100'. Good Luck!!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  12. I hope they do sign the drug testing in, along with out of state fees. But we all know how some scabs will get around that. As they are doing now when asked if they are running paid trips. Just my two cents!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Pics and more info would be good. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Was able to get one of my 5 trips out this weekend. We went 4-6 on Saturday in 3-5's before the storms of the late afternoon chased us off. All fish came below 125' over 225-325'. 400,450 coppers, 300 mag dippys, riggers 125-155' down. Lots of bait on the screen. We took bright chrome kings and had one dark fish, that was still packed with bait. Had a 2-1/2 year old that was not running this year. The eggs in the female we took were very small, size of steelhead eggs, so about 2-3 weeks behind. The males had very small milt sacs, again 2-3 weeks behind. All fish came on ATOMMIK hammers behind pro trolls and spinnys. Will be back out the rest of the week. Temp was down 125-155' depending where you were. Good Luck. 15. Well said Vince, spot on!!!! The problem we will have is the fact it will take a few years for the DEC and Canada officials to come to the conclusion of stocking for kings, or cohos for that matter. I just hope it's not to late for the bait population!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Brian, I was saying that poss we are missing the early wilds due to that. In the majority of the mature pics that I have seen they have been clipped. Matures to me being 25lbs plus, those are our 4 year olds. 20lbs and less will be non clipped and no chip unless pen fish, going by the info DEC has given us. The year class we will see a shortage of would be the 2 1/2 year olds, fall of 2012. I agree something is up, doubt we will ever know what actually happened this year. I can not find the numbers for stocked fish for spring of 2012 online, if anyone has them I would like to see what it was. Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. What about the 2010 year??? The hatchery got its fish that year, the only thing possible was the wild fish that spawned early. That was the year the SR had the flood, so any early natural spawning might have washed away those eggs. But after it receded, there was kings everywhere spawning. We are not seeing the wild matures this year, and also very very few of our 2 1/2 year fish. So I am curious to see what you have to say about that year. 18. Not after this south wind...... Temps dropped big today, buddy was out and was in 40' when he left..... TY Mother Nature!!!!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. The new Seagate 60 is a great setup, awesome drag, and you can fit 450' copper with no problem. Just made 2 of these setups, 40lb backing and copper!!! You can't go wrong!! Good Luck Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Nice!!!! We Deff have a great class of chrome coming this year!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. We Deff will not have a drought for the run this year. Plenty of water in the res, and more on the way!!!! But I can see the state saying they need more $$$ to stock more fish, or some other reason to not stock more. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Fleas were not bad at all today, actually ran my 12 lb bt rods today. Went 6-7 in 3.5 hours, all nice footballs. Stingers and stingrays, 50-60' down in 65-85 FOW. Will be back out tomorrow, one of these days the kings will show!!!! Good Luck Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Tim, I agree about the winds pushing the water around, but the east end does not have the kings yet. We get spurts of fish here and there, but the numbers we normally see are Deff not here. Time will tell if the big dogs show up. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Jack, The $50 is per boat, that will cover everyone in the boat. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. We are missing a portion of the 2 year old fish, remember this years adults were stocked in spring of 2011. The fall of 2010 we had flood on the SR, so the hatchery got its kings, but the fall of 2011 was just the opposite. So we did not get our full stocking in the spring of 2012, which would be out 2 1/2 year class this year. The kings that are being taken are mostly either 1 1/2 yrs old or 3 1/2 years old. The winds we have had this year has really played havoc on our fishing this year. I agree with Vince about the increased stocking of fish in the near future, whether it be kings, cohos or mix of bts or steelies. Everything seems to be 2-3 weeks behind, if these adults are hiding, they should be showing up on the east end in a week or two, we will see if this happens. If not, then the DEC has come clean about is actually being stocked, because there will not be the fish needed to get our eggs again this. Time will tell, mother nature is Deff playing hard ball with is this year. Good luck, and enjoy your time on the water. Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
