  2. Early season was great, March and very early April. Then the south winds started to blow, which in turn freezes out the bay. If you went north there was plenty of browns. Lets hope this year will be a more normal spring with the BTs staying home!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. This a shame Werner. People do not understand what it takes to run these events, it only takes a little help from a few people, but no one wants to step up. It is a sad day in the Challenge history, this is the starting even which has brought us 3 of the best events to ever hit this lake. I hope some people step up before it is too late!! 12. Yup, I have 50',100',and 200' coppers. Last year my first king came on one of my 100'coppers. But for bts lead core is better IMHO. Good Luck Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Getting to be that time, someone is going to be getting a great deal!!!! Just add riggers. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Thanks Vince, I was looking at the predator also, but this is one came up, and I like the layout better, and it is a heavier boat. Survey came back clean, so now its time to start making memories this spring!!! Maybe some year we will run her out and play in the west end tourneys...
  15. Vince, Yes she has new 350's, 200 hours, just broken in. Lol. Yes she is the 290, 11' beam. The owner is a retired mechanic, and has it set up the way every boat should be set up!! Clean, putting it nicely, not very often you can find a 25 year old boat in this condition. It is a long waiting game now. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. LMFAO @ Pete, no big blocks here. Lol but it sure will be nice on the wallet for those days of trolling!!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Matt, Going with a T25 mounted to a Bob's hydraulic jack plate, controlking throttle control. I am going to have the steering hooked up so the kicker steers with rudders. Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Is the reason that the 1k watt ducer being taken off was the small cone diameter? I know there is new ones coming out every year. Like I said I am more interested in picture while running and while trolling, the riggers in the pic is just a bonus. Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Thanks Pete, I am deff going 600 thru hull. Now comes the waiting game for the new ride to get here!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Thanks guys, I figured the 1k might be overkill, but wanted to ask those that have used the 1k. I am looking more for seeing the bottom and bait while running, seeing the weights is just a bonus. I will post more pics when I get, she will be going to Krenzers when delivered. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Thanks guys, I had planned to talk with Jim at BOE, and also the guys from Furuno, but deff want a thru hull, only thing that will be mounted on the transom is the Fish hawk ducer, and the kicker. Here is the only pic I have uploaded so far, this is at her old dock. Right now she is on blocks 350 miles away, I will post more when I get them, come on spring. Capt. Rich
  22. Ok, I will be adding the Furuno FCV587 to the new ride this spring before splash down. Now, which thru hull ducer are you guys running. Still trying to decide 600 or 1k watt, would like to see the rigger weights while trolling, but not a necc, since I know that with depth and speed they will disappear, due to blow back. Thanks for your time. Capt. Rich
  23. Boat will be back in the barn Wednesday, better than new!! New boat is on the way!!! Capt. Rich
