  1. Nick, Congrats on the nuptials, lol. Yea you would figure the dealers would want to get the autos rolling off the lots, but I am finding the same here also. As far as the kicker is concerned, yes it is electric start and hydra. tilt. I will call you with the total, it is the best addition to the boat we have made. Good Luck with the boat purchase. We will be out in Wilson again this year from May 16th-21st, we are docking at Kevin's marina again also. I will be intouch, congrats again. Rich
  2. Nick, What is this " My wife and I", was there a wedding and we did not hear about it???? If so CONGRATS bro, hope everything is going good for you and the Mrs., are you heaidng out west again this year? Let me know. I do not know anything about that specific Bayliner, but keep your eyes open, it is a buyers market. Talk to you soon. Rich
  3. Here you go Rod, lol Lets see what the numbers are saying.
  4. True Pete, but I did not see a time to start, so it looks like you can leave whatever time you want. Get to the fish before the big boys get to them, JMHO, I like you do not like the 12pm weigh in, but like the no observer. See you this spring. Rich
  5. I am assuming they are the final rules, I pulled them off the ProAm web site. Rich
  6. Howie, If you open the registration form it says 105 for each day. So it looks like it is going to be 2 seperate derbys if you will. I am waiting to see if we can get some clarification on this. Looks interesting. Rich
  7. Erin, They way I read it, you can take as many as your legal limit it, but they will only weigh your top 3 fish. SO if you have 3 guys you can keep 9 fish, but only weigh the biggest 3. Looks like it is going to be a by the day event, so Saturday and Sunday will be a whole new event for the open Division. But Let's see when we get some more clarification. Rich
  8. Here are the new rules for this years ProAms. Looks interesting, esp with the new Open division: http://www.lakeontarioproam.net/rules.html Rich
  9. Joe, It was good to see you again, glad to hear you will be in the marina again this summer. Come on Spring. Rich
  10. CLarke, Glad to hear you had a good time, sorry I did not get to see you. I was at Popeye's table. I will see you this summer. Have fun with the new toys. Rich
  11. Way to go Rod, glad to see someone is getting some bluewater theropy. Now send some of that warm temp and sun this way. Come on Spring. Rich
  12. Welcome to the Dark side, Congrats on the sweet chromer. Rich
  13. Jon's Little Salmon River Tackle shop is putting on a one day brown trout derby. The date is May 30, with the 31 being a blow off day. This will be run very similar to the Little Salmon River Challenge, $50 entry fee for the boat. Big Fish and kids prizes included in this fee. Bring your 6 biggest browns to weigh, no other fish will count towards the total weight. Lots of Big name sponsors on board already, and he is looking for more. Weigh in and possible picinic after wards is yet be decided, but I will up date as I get the info. Hope to see those of you that are into the lake fishing come out an join a great little derby, that can be won by one one. Any questions you can call Jon @ 315-963-7800. THis derby can be fished from any port, you will just have to be inline for weigh in at certain time, which has yet to be decided. Hope to see you there. Rich
  14. As Nemeis stated we have bypassed the 600' and just added weight to get to the same depth without the added length of copper. I have a 400' 45lb copper with 4ozs of weight at the leader will get down to the 120' area. Going to try the dive bombs this year/, and I do pull the 400 with extra weight on the walleye board. I second or third the setups from ATOMMIK, Tom is a geat guy and will answer all your questions. Come on Spring. Rich
  15. Great just more I need to buy, lol simply AWESOME TOM, can't wait to see them at the show. Rich
  16. Ok as all or most of the "Traditional" fly guys I see on the rivers now, they are using Chuck and Duck, unless you go to the Fly Zones on the SR, which they are still doing even though the laws state no extra weight to propell the line forward. I have seen it first hand, and have called the DEC, so don't say it is not happening. SO must be chuck and duck is the tradional way to fly fish, take that to a FLy fishing site and see how far it gets you. You do have to mend the mono or the Braid when you are float fishing, so it seems MR LB does not know what he is talking about whne it comes to that, but I know he is god as it seems here. I am done here, I have Steelies to catch on the river, and Salmon to catch when the boat hits the water. Take your conceited and go some place else, just because the Floaters do it differantly than the " Traditional Way". You keep doing your "traditional way " and I will continue to kick your arse with the float on numbers, that are hooked in the mouth and not lined or flossed. Rich
  17. See that is where you are wrong, it is all not just about chucking a float and watching. You have to have the correct lead length, correct shot pattern to get the proper drift, correct bait, and many other variables. I have had days when you have to hold the float back, so it is not going with the current in order to get the fish to hit. So maybe you should not bash someone for doing it their own way, unless they are in violation of the law. If you do not like the fact that someone enjoys chucking floats, or the fact that it has become one of the best ways of producing frish, I am sorry. But I can tell you it is the least way you will find fish being lined, snagged, flossed, or what ever you want to call it. I thik this issue is dead, let it be, just get out and fish which ever way you enjoy. Rich
  18. That is what I was thinking Andy, Ty for the conformation. Wish they would keep the flow up, we need mother nature to help though. Rich
  19. Erin, Thanks, lol yea I am proud to see my 2 little ones grow up and enjoy the same things I did when I was a kid. They get excited when that float drops, lol. Let me know if you want come up for a couple of days. Rich

  21. Ray I believe you are to far down with that guess. I am thinking that is the tree hanging over one of the first holes you come to after the LFZ. Rich

  24. I just wanted to wish all of my fellow lake/river fishermen and women a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May Santa Claus bring you everything you have wished for and more. May the New Year be as prosperous as last, even in these hard times. But most of all I want to Thank the men and women of our armed forces for protecting us and fighting for our freedom so we can enjoy this great county. I hope everyone of them comes home safe. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!! Rich
