I have an older Cannon Mag 10, white body, spooled with 200' of coated cable for temp probe. I spooled the rigger 3 years ago, used it once, the probe did not work, and it has been in the cabin of the boat. This rigger has had little use over the past 4 years, runs strong and had a tune up 4 years ago. Comes with the mounting base, non swivel. $250.00 plus shipping if you want it shipped, or pick up in CNY. Pm me . Rich

would be interested in them if they are the boats, how old are they? Could you pm pics to me. Thanks Rich

Rich D replied to SKUNKMENOT's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Skunk, Here is a link to a place in NY: http://www.greatlakesplaners.com/ I have no affiliation to them, but have used their rod Trees and they are made well, and are cheaper than others. Good Luck. Rich -
What are our brothers to the north doing for cut bait?
Rich D replied to Nemesis's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Your welcome Tom. lol Rich -
If you look at the bottom of the picture is says" World record Black Sea Bass" I have seen that picture before in the a IGFA record book. that fish is from the ocean. Rich

SLayer, Welcome to the board, the time is approaching to get her wet. I would agree with Erin and Tom on the placement, I like that you are using the board from Cableas. that is what we put on ours, and it has been there for 12 years now. Depending on which size you got, the big one would allow you to put your screws above the water line. goo dLuck, keep the pics coming as you out fit your new baby. Good Luck. Rich

Rich D replied to Misty IV's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Jeff, I am sorry, I ment I talked to you for the capts. weekend, not was not sure about this past weekend. I am sure he had a full house, he always does. Not sure who the person is down there that made the call about this past weekend. DO you know who is in charge with the seminars down there? Maybe he is one that started the call, not sure. Let us know if you do get to fill in for him on that weekend. Sorry again. Rich -
Cabelas Seminar with Capt. Ernie Lantiegne
Rich D replied to Misty IV's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Jeff, I had a call from some one else that said he was not going to be there this weekend. That is why I asked if everything was ok, we thought it was weird that he would have cancelled so late. Someone down there must not know their butt from a hole in the ground. Thanks. Rich -
This show has blown for the past 5 years, and they keep raising the entry fee. Not I, will not go unless I get free tickets. Brian, what is up? Hear anything on your endeavors yet? Rich

Cabelas Seminar with Capt. Ernie Lantiegne
Rich D replied to Misty IV's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Tag, Not sure, but I heard that he will possibly not be there. I talked to Jeff and he was not sure if he will nor not. I do not want you to be dissapointed if he is not there, just a heads up. If I hear anything I will post it. Rich -
Ok, I have the Furuno FCV 620, as does Erbyjoe, we both bought ours from BY Owner Electronics, the owners name is Jim, awesome guy, and knows his sheeit. Here is the link to his site: http://www.byownerelectronics.com/store ... p?cat=2596 He will beat anyones price, free shipping, and always there for you. As far as the unit, I can tell you that you will not be dissapointed withthe Furuno, I am seeing fish I never saw with my Lowrance. Granted it was the old 350A, but still, this is an awesome machine. I am still hearing problems with the Raymarine, but not like when they first came out, so I would say you will not be dissapointed with either one. The Furuno is a 600 watt unit, while the raymarine is a 500 watt unit. Is there a differance in 100 watts? I am not sure, but I am sure you will hear the pros and cons here. Good Luck. Rich

Rod, If you were closer I would give you a hand swapping out the motors. Get her ready, spring is coming. Good Luck with the swap. Rich

Daiwa 47H Reel with Copper
Rich D replied to mud bay's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I do not see that happening with a 47, you would be better with a penn 330 like was suggested or a Shimano Tekota 700. I am not sure what the Okuma number is, but I know they have a reel that will work also, if you use okumas. I think the new Accudepth Plus 57 will work with a 300' section of copper. I have not seen one yet, but looking at the size on the site it should be ok. Rich -
Adam, Yes the main engine is turned off, I have found it be easy steering, and I can now let go of the wheel while trolling. With the big motor we were always trying to correct the path of the boat because the steering was so easy, you would steer beyond where you wanted to go. It is nice to be able to actually not have to worry about the boat doing circles while we are fighting a fish with just 2 of us on the boat. I will be looking at an autopilot in the future, but for right now it is just fine. Rich
-
Thanks for all the lists guys, this is what I was looking for. Keep them coming, maybe we can get something accomplished. Rich
-
Chris, We have an Easy Steer on our boat, hooked I/O to Kicker, we put over 100 hours on it this past summer and it works great. Once you get it set to the length and tighten it down, but not too tight, you are set to go. I will post a picture of the set up tomorrow. You can't go wrong, but I am sure there are a few people that will tell you diffferant. Good Luck. Rich

I am doing a little poll, I would like to know your top ten items you would like to see in a tackle shop when you head to the lake. Thanks, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a Happy New Year, may the New Year bring us all more time on the lake and our fill of screaming drags. Rich

The 1000' 30lb wire fills the 47 bodies without the use of a backing. I am not sure which reels you are talking about, unless you are using 20lb wire, which has a smaller diameter. As far as the roller rod, you really do not need the roller rod, just replace the tip top with a Twilli Tip and you are golden for years to come. I have a Diawa dipsey rod that I have had for over 6 years with just a Twilli tip and the rest of the guides are just fine. Good Luck. Rich
-
Rick, The Diawa Heartland/Accudepth plus combo, with the ADP47lc as the reel is probably the best value on the market for reasonably priced combo. You can put 1000' of wire on the reel with no backing and you will be all set. You should be able to have one complete setup for a little over $100.00. I have a couple of these and they are awesome setups, I will upgrade when I get my capts. license but for now they do just fine. Good Luck Rich

Billy, I would wait and look at the new Furuno multi display screens coming out. they are saying the new 3d maps are the best there is, and we all know their Radar is the best. Just a thought, I am not sure of price range, I am sure the new Furunos will debut at the Miami show. If I hear anything I will let you know. Rich

Adam, Go out to Gander or your fav place to get hunting videos and get the Drury brothers Predator videos. There is some awesome stuff in both of these videos. Good Luck, there are alot of guys that hunt them out here. Some use electronic calls and some use dogs. Good Luck, keep us posted on how you do. Rich
