I used one in grade school. It always leaked in my pocket and I had to keep a bottle of ink in my desk for refills. The newfangled ball point pens were too expensive at the time.
Lucky1 - The reason for a snubber when using wire or braided line is due to the "no stretch" characteristics of the line and violence of the strike causing breakoffs if not used. Mono line stretches and absorbs the strike (in most instances )

Firefox for me too for the past 3 years. Not only is it faster and easier to use. It doesn't have as many security flaws that IE has. I wouldn't go back to IE neither, but I keep it as a standby.

I always skin my salmon when filleting so I've never bothered to remove the scales.
I was wondering about you guys that BBQ or smoke salmon with skin on if you remove the scales before you steak it up or fillet.
