Definitely bleed them out before going in the cooler. You'll be amazed how much better they taste. Also remove the lateral line when cleaning them. MMMMMMMM, ya can't beat fresh fish!!! -

Welcome to the site Dan. Glad ya came back to the Niagara & Bar. There 's some great folks here that are fishing the bar often and give some great reports & pics. If you'll post the dates you're looking to spend there, I'm sure some Capts. will get back to you on what's available & rates & such. Looking forward to YOUR reports & pics too.

Glad you liked it. I use apple cider instead of juice myself, but use the juice when I'm lazy & don't want to go to the orchard for fresh. Winter time is a great time to smoke fish. Gives me something to do to break the cabin fever.

Thanks a lot for the kind words and offers guys. I really appreciate it. With the approach of the 2012 season I don't know if I'm making the right move or not I'm startin ta get antsy. I'll have to wait till April I think to actually find out what I'm gonna do.

Dang good bunch of guys & gals at BPS today. Swapped some stories & got together for a bite to eat. The time flew by from noon to about 5:30 & before we knew it, it was time to head for home. A nice break from the winter doldrums. Thanks everyone for a good time. Hope to see you all on the water soon.

LOL, Sunday the 29th, Bass Pro Shop in Auburn, sometime between noon -1PM. Hope to see ya there Andy. All are welcome. Wives, girlfriends, Children, dogs, cats, lobsters, whatever/whomever. Dutch treat at Sakura Restaurant afterward.

Who's going this Sunday? Most of the guys are going to meet in front of the fish tank anywhere's from a little after noon to 1. Then browse the store for a while, then a late lunch. Hope to see you there.

How about tryin the new Chinese Restaurant in Auburn this time. Their food is great and there's plenty of room to accomodate a crowd. The buffet is AWESOME!!!
