  1. Thanks Darter, can't wait to hear how ya liked it.
  2. Had a fun weekend thanks to Hank (L&M), Todd (bottom feeder), & Vic (Sliderbite) this weekend. Fished anywheres from 70 to 250 fow thru the weekend & caught fish mainly from 170 to 200 fow. Using mainly light green or Miami Dolphin Ito flies on the dipseys & Blue Whale or other Warrior spoons on the riggers we boated some nice fish. Threw back the shakers & skippies but kept some of the bigger ones for table fare. The highlight of the weekend was a nice 26.8 lb king we swore was over 30 lbs & ran into Davenports to weigh in for the LOC. Not one to make the board, but a beautiful fish. Thanks for the great time guys, & looking forward to you fishin with me again.
  3. Next time in the Utica area, check out Voss's in Yorkville for a bbq sandwich, hot dog or hamburg for lunch, take the FX Matt Brewery tour & sample some Saranac Beer or other Saranac non-alcoholic soda pops. Take a ride "up North" on Rt 12 to Rt 28 to Old Forge in The Adirondacks & browse the shops & wander around the village or visit The Enchanted Forest & Waterslide Park for the kiddies. Have fun.
  4. Welcome to the site. Our site Admin (BlueEye) is a diehard musky fisherman & I'm sure you will enjoy the tips & pics in our Musky, Pike, & Walleye sub-forum. There's a bunch of guys there who are more than willing to share info. Kick back & read some of the reports & don't hesitate to add your own or ask questions. Good luck on the water.
  5. Good advice chowder. Also watch the Trade A Trip section for guys looking to have someone to fill an empty seat. Or you might even post a thread in that section telling the guys the same you said here. Welcome to the site & we look forward to your reports & pics of your new found passion in the sport. Good luck & hope to see you on the water sometime.
  6. What a beaut. Congrats & Thanks for sharing the pic.
  7. Hey Snagger, great to see ya on here with the reports again. Don't try to be a hardass & tough it out, go see a chiropractor & get "back" on the water. Good luck to ya & hoping things go better for ya.
  8. Oh what a Joy that must have been.
  9. Come on Pete, fill us in
  10. Completely different shapes.
  11. I agree Mike. I had plans on fishing the Open Division, but due to other personal commitments I couldn't make the deadline. I don't know why that rule was changed. If the deadline is going to be almost the same as the Am Division, then why bother having an Open Division at all. The entry fee is the same with the exception of being able to fish one day at half price of the Am Division. With only 2 teams in the Open Division for Oswego I hope the committee will reconsider changing it back.

  16. Welcome to the site howitzer. It's great to see you young fellas take an interest in the sport. You're our future. There's a bunch of great folks here so if you have any questions at all, don't hesitate to ask if ya can't find the answers in our "Search" feature. We try to answer any questions pretty quick, but sometimes during a tourney week some questions take a while to get answered. I'm lookin forward to your reports & pics & welcome once again. Bob
