Hank, Sorry to hear of the loss of your good friend Capt. Charlie DeNoto, Port Bay, NY. I know he was like an adopted Dad to you. Please extend my most sincere sympathies to the family.

Welcome to the site Nick. It's great to see our friends from the West side on here. Feel free to jump in with any questions or comments. Great bunch of folks here. Stan's a great guy & has done a lot of good out there as far as spreading the word about salmon/trout fishing out there. We like to say he learned it all here, but he's taught us a thing or two too. i.e. Don't run yer planner boards long enough to reach shore. Good luck on the water.
I had a friend fall out of his stand about 3 yrs. ago. Busted his spleen open. He managed to crawl about 100 yards before he finally passed away. Wasn't found till the next morning. I can't stress enough about being safe and wearing a safety strap AND using a rope to raise & lower unloaded firearms & bows. Be safe and be thankful for each & every day.
