Not as much as I'd like, but we're getting there. Come on guys, spill yer guts & start posting those "secret" recipes.

Fished it yesterday and today. Gin clear water all over & no bites. Fished 6-15 fow & 70-110fow. The only place we marked fish was right on the bottom in the deeper water. The only fish caught was a 3 lb. smallmouth in the skinny water. Got blown off at 1 PM today and called it a day. Good luck if you go out.

Also, figure approx. 3x the amount of line out to the depth you would like to achieve. ie: if you would like to reach 60' target depth, let approx. 180' of wire/braid out.

Hey Justin, welcome aboard. Before you go & invest in something you might not be satisfied with, I'd suggest hopping aboard a charter boat once or twice or even going out with some of the other fishermen on this site. A lot of us would be willing to show you the ropes. There's a section on the site here titled Open Seats/Trade a Trip. When you get to Ft. Drum, post a thread in there & I'm sure you'll get more than one invite (myself included). In the meantime, browse thru the various sub-forums and try to glean as much info as you can. When you get on the water with one of us it will come together and make sense on how & why we do things a certain way. Except when it comes to buying gear, & that's just an addiction So from a fellow vet, welcome again & enjoy your stay here. Thanks for your service to our great United States of America.

I had one of those when I was hunting. Beautiful unit for someone as a back up for fishing or to use with hunting. Good luck, someone's gonna get a nice unit.
