  1. I agree about fishing out of Sandy Creek, It would be a good idea to include other ports for the 3 man tournys. I am sure you will get a much bigger turnout.
  2. Heres the 24.07lbs king from 7/5 fishing with Trout-N-About. Fish hit 120 down over 350 fow on a Michigan Stinger Alewife in the Stingray size. It is currently sitting in 4th place. Somebody has got to knock that laker out of the grandprize!! Whos gona do it?
  3. Taddeo Taddeo Taddeo Im not sure who that someone is your talking about but he sounds like a real A hole for standing you up..... Id like to hear some reports of people that are using it?! I will post up any action I have with it for sure.
  4. It seems this topic comes up alot, I still love my Simrad AP14. The price on them is coming down on them a bit and they are a solid unit, easy to install and very reliable!!
  5. I would definitely recommend a track system it gives you more flexibility to adapt to the conditions. I would probably move that rod storage right in front of your engine and put up 4 pipes or 5 on either side of your boat for upright storage when running or rigging. The only advice I give you is to lay things out before you drill and back everything up with aluminum plating and SS bolts and hardware. Its like an open canvas enjoy setting it up its half the fun. There are a ton of options out there, do some searching and research and find exactly what you want If you have any questions on specifics drop me a PM or ask on here. Have fun
  6. oh here we go you got Ray excited.
  7. I picked up a sample pack from Capt. Cove and ran it once for an hour last week. It seemed to hold up pretty good but had a hard time getting it into the bait heads. Had to squeeze the flat end to get it into it.
  8. Rob you back in the water yet? Didnt see your boat in the creek
  9. Nice Silvers! thanks for the report
  10. Yeah I dont get them being in that bathwater either, but they are there in good numbers and snappin for sure. Thanks for the report
  11. Do you get headshakes, then lose the fish or are the cowbells releasing themselves off your riggers? I like 30-36 inches from the back of the cowbells to the peanut. Try adjusting the tension on your releases so that it takes a few headshakes to release it. Blacks releases are not good for lake trout fishing, I prefer the stacker style so you can stack them a couple ft above the ball and can notice if a laker breathes on them cus of the little bit of play in that style release. http://www.alltackle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=001&Product_Code=SCY1040 similar to these ones .... good luck
  12. Yeah it says Species-Lake Trout Somebody needs to put a king on the board---whos it gona be?
  13. I have had good luck in the past trolling teardrop crankbait crayfish imitations on the bottem in 15-25 fow with inline boards and flatlines. Just keep checking your lures for zebra mussels and weeds and you should be able to pick at em all the way to bear creek if you want to go that far. Let us know how you make out
  14. I agree that it is probably cheap 2 stroke oil that doesnt burn 100%, Try running the expensive stuff like quicksilver, or whatever oil your engine make reccomends. I ran the cheap stuff "ONCE" through my merc and had the same issue.
  15. This may sound to simple but check how far below the water line the transducer is mounted and how close it is to the prop wash and bubbles of the main engine or kicker Just a couple ideas
  16. Happy Birthday Shawn, Have a good one!

  20. I have a chrome and black grill guard or brush guard for 2000 Toyota 4 Runner. It came with my truck when I bought it a few years ago and I took it off and it has been sitting in my garage since. It is pretty much flawless and brand new condition, adds a real tough look to the front of your truck. It mite fit other applications, if interested please call me or PM me. It retails for over 450 dollars. Asking $350 for local pick up only or meet halfway. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/mmp/t ... parts.html
  21. Snapped this picture during the Wilson Scotty--looks like he ran over our copper 23 lbs king taken a few weeks ago off rochester day after the Spring LOC The way some of these kings are looking it could make for a interesting fall LOC
  22. As long as the cable has a lower # then your mainline downrigger cable you should be fine for your breakaway set up. With that being said check your # rating and terminations throughout your rig to make sure. Just my 2 cents-- Use your other riggers for your deep side- keep that rigger Well away from the bottom .
  23. Thats a good sized smallmouth bass!! Congrats to you and your family!!
  24. Exactly Tim, Congrats on your first and many more to come ! Good luck with the BBD--(bigger boat disease) it will hit you hard when you least expect it.
