  1. YT This is true, Using a MOOR sub troll now is like a blind man getting his vision back. So crucial with all the variables to deal with on top of currents and temp breaks. I think I would go nuts if I did not have it now that I do. Thank you Orleans Pro Am!!! just got to go redeem my Maui Jim sunglasses coupon now  Tom - I think speed is crucial to you also I do believe that loud BANG! I heard well putting my boat on the trailer was your boat Hitting the dock head on at 5 mph? correct me if im wrong help refresh my memory How many fish did u catch that day? Banana sshmanna  How did u prepare that trout I left for you ? Tartare or sashimi?
  2. I just got back in from a trip to Sandy, on the water by 530- off by 10. We went 5 for 9 with a couple kings biggest being 18#. Dropped a decent one off the riggers about the same, did a steelie about 8# ended the day with a Laker on the wire that was around 11#. How much fun that was can only be known by me. Riggers were the tix today, Glow froggies early with white cups, then as the sun gets up switch to silver backs. Seems its an early bite, shuttin down by 10-1030. Most action came on a east troll with a speed of 2.5 at the ball. Im out of the water for a few weeks if I can resist the urge. I have to get my Lund rigged and ready for July. get the net- nice report, are you headin out this weekend? fosterm--didnt see u in the lot this mornin I was by myself were you there yesterday? I noticed the bait in shallow on the way out but fished my waypts, If I would be going out tommarrow Id go early and fish 40-90fow close to the bottem East or West out of the chute. The browns have to be feeding in the top 20 fow on top of that pile of bait , with some decent hooks movin around below the bait clouds. The fish in the parking lot was a nice 12 pound Steelhead that somebody wasted. Was not a good way to start my day, pulling in the parking lot to find it. The fish was definatly caught yesterday, but such a waste. At least dispose of it properly if you dont want it.
  3. Yeah nice job on the speed guys, I and im sure everyone else appreciates the hard work put forth to the new and improved LOU site. Thanks again Jax --The speed makes it easier to squeeze in another look see at whats doin before I head into work!--
  4. I live in spencerport and drive past those ponds all the time! I have tried fishing them once or twice in the past but the weeds are so thick, how do you get a cast in? Maybe its not as bad as it was when I tried it out. There was many weeds you would need a boat to get off the edge of them, I see people takin buckets out of there alot, even last week! Not sure what was in them but im sure it wasnt live bait. :? Jax
  5. A family obligation came up causing us to stay local. But still havin the time off was great cus I have fished pretty much everyday with my father, along with getting projects done that have built up. etc. THanks for all the feedback and replies. Anyone doing any bass yet? RD That sounds like a great trip you had! Thanks for the report. Hows the fishing out your way these days, hows the charter biz going? To bad about that gar, those things are cool looking. Would have liked to seen a pic of that thing.
  6. Well as part of the products we won from the orleans pro am, I was able to take home a MOOR Sub Troll as part of my share of prizes since YT allready had a down temp. With help from Gambler we installed it and today I got to test her out on Lake O. Man Let me tell all of you who dont have a down speed/temp- GET ONE. Started out inside at Sandy 75-120 decent screen on the FF got a few fish right off the bat including a nice 8 pound coho off the wire. Ventured out deep but ended up coming back in at the end of the day. Had a decent program off the riggers, watermelons, chicken wings, anything pink top 40 fow. Wires out 120-145 on a 2 1/2. Seemed to be alot of smaller fish around but did boat 2 nice chromers, and lost one big one. Ended the day 9 for 12 catching 4 fish(2 coho, 2 steelhead) on 4 consecutive passes in the same spot off gps. Being able to replicate down speed, depth, location each time was key. Boated 2 nice steelies 8-9 pounds each and lost another that was 12-14 lbs. easy after a nice air show. Slide divers, riggers, wire all took fish. Heres a pic of one of the chromers.

ok guys, I am looking to get my hands on some of these, I had a custom painted T stick version that is hangin from the front of a chromer somewhere out in Lake Ontario. I had bought it off a retired charter cap out of michigan who has no more left. Do you guys have any stashed in your secret box of lures I could borrow for a model to get some repainted? Or Do you guys know anybody or company that does custom painting? I would pay top buck to get my hands on 4 or more of these in the jr stick size. Any reccomendations or advice? The second picture is of bad quality but more the color scheme im looking for. Thanks Guys Jax
  9. Hey guys, My father and I are looking to head up to Henderson harbor for a few days, any reports for that area? 10. My father and I are heading up to henderson harbor the 4th through the 10th hoping to get into some walleye, bass and some NP. Does anybody know a good place to stay near the water? Anyone reccomend a guide up in that area? Im sure we can get into some fish, but we are hoping to get out with a guide for a day. Thanks in advance Jax
  11. Always look forward to your reports and pictures! Great post!
  12. Well up until today surface temp readings off the NOAA site have been dismal for the area from oak orchard to the edge of sodus area all cold Green on the graph. With niagra/wilson and oswego havin the warmest above 50 temps. I just scoped it out before bedtime and found this! Hopefully it will get some fish moving around our area, just need some rain to get some good colored water. http://www.glerl.noaa.gov/res/glcfs/glcfs.php?lake=o&ext=swt&type=N&hr=00 Jax
  13. You know why the fish came lose Tom, you didnt put a screw through it.
  14. If you are going to burn the gas, make it worth while and drive the extra hour to wilson/olcott. There is alot of water with very little active fish in it around rochester. Your time will be rewarded if you made the drive. Let us know how you do!
  15. Congratulations guys! Very nice pictures, and the fish isnt so bad either. By setting the bar this high for the spring derby does anybody have any guesses for biggest fish of the fall derby of 07? Maybe I should have started another thread over 40lbs?
  16. I was gonna say it didnt look 30, I would say 25-26>Still a nice fish, I cant wait for the water around here to warm up. Went out today to find 44 degree water in 40-100fow.........should set up nicer in a week as long as the northerly blow would quit.
  17. http://spoonpullers.proboards42.com/ind ... 1179364742 Thats a big fish for springtime!

  22. Iceman you think thats crazy think about this you wouldnt lose your lower unit youd be hovering above the water 30 mpg must be 180 mph? sheesh haha jk Longline
  23. Fish comin uuuuup! oh Eddy, definatly a member of the russel station hall of shame/fame. I m sure I have pictures of that little gremlin somewhere.
  24. Yep thats a roger.....roger on the docks being put it. I dropped in at 7 with no docks, came in at noon and there were docks. Magic! They were finishing up putting on the floating aluminum sections when I got there. As for the fishing, dismal at best. The conditions werent half bad but they just werent there for us today. Fished from the beach down to cowsuckers creek 8-25fow with nothin to show. It came time to pick up rods, and saw a fish jump behind the boat. The flatline rogue strikes again. Sure enough first fish of the day came in the last couple minutes. Just a dink, dropped him back in, and continued back to the dock with one my flatlines still out to check out the channel. The flatline rogue doubled over and we popped a nice hammer NP on the way in about 35" 6-7#. Shook off the skunk today and got to enjoy another 80 degree day on the water.
  25. Thats exactly what we need! I hope we dont get the snow they are talking about. :x
