  1. Gill-T; Nice description/display of the current situation! Thanks!
  2. Fished from 8AM till 1 PM yesterday for seven bites, one brown, one laker & four kings largest 24lbs. (one nobody home bite), temp was @ 90' with a 12 pound torpedo weight. caught one king out of temp @ 75 down (60 degrees) & the other three @ or below the thermocline, two on spoons & two on a Pro troll flasher with a Green Atomic Hammer fly. Kings came in 250 to 420' of water.
  3. Plexus, is what I use.
  4. All; Thanks for all of your comments! John
  5. Haven't done any casting in a long time, & need to get a good quality spinning rod, reel & line combo to throw Jr. Thundersticks & Rapala's. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. John
  6. Global warming ='s bad science! There is no proof that global warming is happening, & the fans of it now call it climate change, because it is not getting warmer!
  7. Nice Stripers, 43 lber is HUGE!
  8. I have owned Bigjon & Cannon, & these are by far the best I have owned, soft start & stop, & programmable with a jig function. Check out Traxtech.
  9. Coho 4 sure!
  10. Just put a small 4 stroke kicker on it. It also is safer w/2 engines. GOOD LUCK!
  11. I have a 22' 2011 Hewescraft Searunner w/Soft top & have not had any issues with it behaving like a sail. These boats are relatively heavier than riveted boats, bottom hull is 0.20" thick, almost 1/4". The bare hull weighs 1950lbs alone. This will not be a problem for you. PM me if you have any other questions. John
  12. A-Lure-A If you don't mind sharing, how did the lever get broken, as I have been using these reels for several years with no issues. Probably unusual circumstances caused the failure, but is there a strength problem with the levers? Thanks; John
  13. IMHO, the FH TD is a great tool for calibrating the dive curves of wire divers, lead core, & other junk lines. Also, what Gambler said!
  14. They are probably cormorant nests!
  15. I have owned Bigjons (Captn's packs & Brute ES's),Cannons & now run four Traxtech riggers which are by far the best I have ever owned. Can't say enough about the soft start & stop! Jig mode has also accounted for several triples & many doubles on Walleye's. Traxtech riggers are also made in the USA.
  16. You can add Traxtech to the list of riggers with a good auto stop & boom tip up feature.
  17. Replacement brand new probes are available on e-bay for $245.
  18. My sonar & FH transducers are next to eachother with no problems. Lowrance HDS 8 83/200 khz
  19. There you go again Tim, clouding the issue with facts!
  20. Gotta hope the plate monitors pick it up! Care to share where this happened?
  21. Thanks Tim! Looking forward to any info you pick up on Saturday. Good luck with the pens! John
  22. Wondering if the Newfane Town Marina in Olcott had any damage to the dock posts? Will they be open as normal this year?
  23. 50 LB Ande fluorocarbon Leader Material, it is stiff & presents the fly well behind the flasher.
  24. Thank you Tim, you & the teams efforts are much appreciated!!!
  25. Nice going, enjoyed the video! Won't be long now!
