  1. Is your transducer pointing directly down, or does it need to be tipped forward or back? Look at the water line on your boat & see if the bottom of the transducer is parallel with it. If not adjust it.
  2. Please post a link to the Sodus Pro AM results. Thanks in advance
  3. in a word NO!
  4. F K There was a lot of bait high in the water column say 50 to 90' over 150', with individual hooks in & around the bait.
  5. Wow, snub Atomik, no! Must be because Atomik jumped off the ProAm debacle.
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Made it out the chute at 5:30 just ahead of the mob fishing the Pro-AM, & went North West for 10 minutes @ 45 MPH to 150' of water. The fish were cooperating yesterday, hitting all of our lines throughout the morning. Had 45 degrees down 80', & it came up as you went West, to as shallow as 65'. Fished in 140 to 160' of water from 6 AM to 12 noon. Went 13 for 17, mostly King salmon, a laker & one steelie. Wires out 250' on a 2 setting, four riggers down 65 to 80'. Boat speed 2.6 mph on the Fishawk x-4, trolling East to West for approximately two miles, then swing around to the East, repeat & repeat. Had four Kings in the low 20 pound class.
  7. Looks like there is an 808 in the title
  8. Been doing it for over twenty years! I do miss the eyes!!!

  11. Sounds like a dirty or partially plugged low spped jet passage way. A good cleaning with carb cleaner sprayed into all passages & blowout with compressed air should do it. Be sure to wear eye protection when you are using the carb cleaner, especially when you blow out the passages.
  12. Three years on an X-4 with no problems.
  13. Brute up/down quick fix. If your up/down switch is acting up, loosen the screw above the microswitch that is triggered by the bead on the rigger cable. Most people will go around & tighten up things after some use, & overtightening the pulley screw warps the micro switch from the excessive force of trhe tightened screw. Sooo, if you have this going on, try loosening the screw first before sending the unit back. Got this trick from Frank @ Calumet Marine (super place & super people, just like BigJon)!!!
  14. Send some of those sharks to Oswego, we are getting anxious waiting!!! Nice report & results!!!

  16. Thanks for letting us know how well my suggestion to call the Company worked out. I too had a problem where I lost the axel on the speed wheel of the probe. I was sent a new assembly within 3 days. You just can't beat their unit or their service. Tight lines & full coolers!!!!!!
  17. Like my 4 BigJon Brutes, direct gear drive, blazing fast even with 20LB Sharks, low profile & built in shock absorbers in the booms! Going on 4 years with the first two with out any issues!
  18. Suggest you skip using any wood, & go with foam & resin.
  19. Hey Rebel; Which speed system do you run high, and which one deeper? TT; I agree with you assessment of the speed, as I did the same with my cousins unit last year, .5 mph slower speed on his DR vs my X-4 Thanks to both of for sharing with us!!!!
  20. A few facts to ponder: To each their own, I use an X-4 with a Garmin GHC 10 autopilot & the numbers stay rock steady all the time down as far as 300'. The X-4 uses regular rigger cable, so there is no coated cable with it's associated huge blow back due to it's fat diameter, not to mention the problems associated with the coating being compromised, & the associated antenna problems with the wet towel. Enjoy what you have! Tight lines & full coolers!
  21. Tim; Please tell me the temperature & speed down 250' where i can see a large pod of salmon in & around a bait school using your ST or DR.
  22. They both are second choices!
  23. Um, most of them are dodgers!
  24. Where the water is 55 degrees & intersects the bottom, browns are structure oriented.
