Hot Wheels You never mentioned the MSRP, you just said $2800, & I am correct with the figure I noted above. Glad you moved it! How much did you get for the motor???????????
-
If you multiply $2800 times 1.13, you get $3164. Don't see the $3700. You will be owning the motor for a long time at that price.

I have been watching the NBA Prison League players quite intently, looks like they might work together enough to bring the gold back where it belongs. Haven't seen any one player trying to out do the rest of the team yet (Alan Iverson last olympics ugh!). I call them the NBA prison league because if they weren't playing basketball they would all be in prison.

You have too much time on your hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have called this spoon manufacturer by name on the carpet in the GLA site & have been admonished for it. My post was taken down. Guess they buy their way into these sites with prizes, support & advertising for the tourney's, etc. I will not use their product, as it is designed for planned obsolesence. Good business plan for people who will put up with it, not me. Love my NK 28's, they are all I need.

Every time I have an encounter with or see the Coast Guard, I get irritated. Where were they when all this contaminated ballast water was allowed to come into our fresh water???? They spend countless hours bothering us, but the big ships come & go as they please, no one checks the treatment of the ballast water, or makes any effort to keep the bas---ds out of our water. It is much easier to monkey with the lake & river boaters, and it seems that the coasties enjoy it. Just another clear picture of how our government has gone wrong!!!!! The revolution is coming!!!

If there is lightening around, the FM radio will let you know. The crackling is easy to hear.

Oswego 7/6
Iceman replied to ray koziatek's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I try to move over a little bit for all boats coming by, in hopes that they will, as well move a little bit. If everyone did this, as well as wait till you are at least 1,000' past the boat going by it would all work. This happens at other ports, but not at Oswego or during the fall derby combat fishing in Mexico Bay. -
Oswego 7/6
Iceman replied to ray koziatek's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I fished out of Oswego for 15 years, & then four years ago, I got fed up with the idiots out of this harbor. I now use other ones where the people are still civilized!!! What also fries my bacon is the people that think it is OK to set their boat up, or break it down in the launching area. I politely asked several of these inconsiderate oafs to move so we could launch or retrive our boats & got the single finger salute, along with a large number of four letter words that would take the paint off a septic tank!! It is too bad because Oswego is a great port! Wonder how long it will be before someone is assualted/injured/killed over this kind of behavior???? -
Went 3 for 4 on walleye's last night, 40' of water East end of the lake, 2.2 to 2.4 GPS speed, Jr.Thundersticks, on the bottom. Trolled faster & slower with no takers. Lots of fish on the screen all the time but they had lock jaw. Also tried different depths on the 40' water column with no takers there either. Flat water & a few boats around. First time on Oneida this year, still need to dial in the presentation better. Only two us so we ran 2 riggers & two dipsey's. Dipsey's took one eye. Too much grass on the surface to use planer boards, but if you could use them I bet they would have worked.

I run Tekota 600LC's & love them! Makes duplicating the set up easy after a bite. -
Look Issy, I never said the boat was a POS! I just would not want a person to think it will be "perfect for Oneida Lake" because it won't. Fish caught "salmon" have no relation to boat sea worthyness in rough conditions. Oneida is known for fast moving storms with faster building waves. The distance between the waves is short & because of this it is very dangerous. Just think how it would feel if the person who buys this boat gets turned over in a fast building storm, because you said it is great for Oneida Lake. A 16' boat has it's limitations, & they should not be overlooked just because you want to move this boat.
-
Hey, just keep spinning!!! It is OK with me!
-
A 16' boat will be kinda small when the lake get rough. I ran a 16' foot Lund for several years & got blown off a lot. Moved up to a 21" Lund Newport, & now don't normally have any day that is too rough on Oneida. So the 16' is perfect for the calmer days!!!

R. K. Great to hear that you got all your balls done!!! Awesome!!!

How is Mike's Marina? Mexico bay??
Iceman replied to InTheBox's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
If this place is on the little Salmon River it is a very long & nasty ride up a shallow debris ridden creek. Watch out for your lower unit. -
It is NK-28's for me. All others are also rans.

Bluemahi: That kind of logic works for Democrats too at the White House & in the NYS Capitol in Albany, everybody is doing it so it's OK, I am OK, you are OK, & I am going into rehab for a month & then I will be back to turn things around OK (with no loss of benefits)!!! WTF!!!! Where has our sense of pride gone????? I too wish the Patriots well, until they come up against the Giants. Then not so much! Good luck fishing, hope you catch a bunch, can't wait for the Spring LOC to start, 33 days off yippee!! See you in Olcott. John Boat name "Micron"

Do you really think the Pat's will be as good next year??? The league is on to the cheating thing finally!!! Plus, that little punk receiver can't last forever (Welker). How many blind side hits can he absorb??? Also the coach (Bellychick) has to get some manners & not leave the field with out congratulating the winning team/coach. What a sore looser. Go big Blue!!!!! They will be back too!!!!

BV The shorter box was the only one available @ the Cicero Gander Mountain at the time I was looking for a hanging mag spoon box so they told me. Given that, I made my own mag spoon box & am good to go, also it is smaller & fits in my Lund much better not to mention the $35 I saved by making my own. In general these things are over priced for what you get. I feel that way about the Howie flasher box available too, way over priced for a clear plastic box with two aluminum rails to hold the flashers.
-
B V I am speaking of the one pictured above.
-
The spoon box shown does not hold mag spoons, or some of the longer spoons just under the mag size. I actually bought one, & returned it because my mag spoons would not fit. Great concept, & I have a plug & spoon box that is similar in design, however smaller in length & width, the ones I have are not made anymore. The plug box has square partitions in it. I have also made several spoon & plug boxes using tool boxes with plastic partitions cut out on the table saw. These cost me approximately $15 each plus my time.

Clarke; We are out there usually 8 to 10 hours per trip (about what you are doing), & I might get three or more trips as well of this length out of one battery. I too, unhook the battery each time the probe goes in the storage case. I leave the probe uncapped so it can dry out, it is usually so cold when it comes up for the last time that it has condensation all over the inside. The probe needs to be allowed to dry out when it is stored. I never had faith in the upside down storage to disconnect the battery. Glad to see I have some company here! I can't stress enough the use of a good battery strength meter across the battery terminals each time prior to sending the probe down to start aniother day of fishing. Why replace a good battery just because you think it has lost strength. In very rough conditions, the signal is somtimes unsteady, but I have figured out how to judge whether the readings are believeable or not through experience. I fished the entire Spring LOC out of Olcott with two days of prefishing using 3 batteries, & the third battery was used several time after that. We took 3rd place in the Salmon Division this Spring.

To the folks using the coated cable for the ST & DR, how long does the coated cable hold up??? Do you have to constantly adjust the electrical connection on the rigger end???How well does it work @ 150' plus??? How much does the coated cable cost??? A 200' spool of plain downrigger cable costs about $15 at Bass Pro. They all have their issues, to each their own. I have had very good luck with my Fish Hawk for the last 15 years. Only replaced one probe, & that was my fault. With all the debris this Spring in Ollcott, I was glad I had a Fish Hawk, so the stumps, branches & other flotsam did not bother my downrigger cable. I can only imagine what would happen to coated cable as it wraps around a pile of debris.
