  1. cayuga is closed. And as of today the 9th. The water has not gone down at all. I know guys are going out but not supposed to. Its going to be at least a week or possibly 2. Lots of damage and shore erosion on my road. I've had springs in my basement for 2 weeks and prolly still have a flooded basement for 2 more. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  5. I wound up alone up there so I buzzed down in front of the Rat's and trolled around till my port rigger snagged one of his fish cages, undoing the hasp that secured the top cover. Boxed out pretty quick on the other lines as I circled around the cage still tethered by rigger cable. In all seriousness the laker action on the wires was pretty fast & furious north of LP but I only ran into 2 browns up there on core seemingly by accident. Temp was still 37-38. Good to hear the boats going in! -Andy P.S. when did they pass a law limiting a guy to 3 rods Ha ha good one Andy. I was supposed to be out this weekend but my wife brought me home a good dose of the FLU so I was shorebound. Still feel like crap. Hope to get out next sunday. RR
  6. They jig for lakers at the Niagara bar. I believe Prime time Pete won the LOC years back doing this. I have caught browns, bows and salmon casting from piers and I have seen guys that cast from their boats along the break wall at Oswego. RR
  7. I'll be out on sat as well same place. We'll look for you and help out if need be. RR
  8. The best way to do it is to make a permanent loop using the fly line. Peel off about 3 inches of the coating exposing the braided line. Fray the end of the braid about 1 inch. Then put it in your vice and wrap the fraid part into the bare braid and wrap with fly tying thread very tight the length of the fray up to the coated line. Wrap it with 2 layers of thread and whip finish. Seal with aqua seal. Works great, never fails even on 40lb stripers and 20lb sea run Atlantic salmon. I use it on all my lines. I can post a pic if you need one. RR
  9. As long as you guys don't loose fish, you'll be all set. RR
  10. Looks good to me. shouldnt matter if it matches perfectly. RR
  11. I have a Mag 5 hi speed that is one year old. Comes with a fixed mount and a fixed 4 ft. boom and 195ft of coated cable. So really its a mag 10 with out the swivel base but the coated cable is a bonus if you have a DR or a Moor and want to upgrade to hi speed. I used it for 1 season. Can include brand new uncoated cable too. 350 bucks firm. Pics to come tomorrow. RR
  12. Steve the bases were sold with in 5 min of the post. Still have the booms if you are interested. RR
  13. its has to be anytime now. Last year it was about the 2nd week in april for cayuga tribs. I'll be they are running good on Owasco. RR
