NNW 30 or so this morning. Mike I want to go duck hunting with you! speaking of ducks, my pet wood duck came back on sat. He's been gone since october and arrived back safely on sat. This is the 3rd year he's come back. comes right up on the deck begging, peeep peeeep. funnier than Hell. He is a handsome fellow. RR

Cayuga is as rough as I have ever seen it. 3 to 5 footers! Saw a duck blind go by this morning! The water is up too. Someone is going to loose some dockage today! RR

Dons marina will have it as long as they can get it supplied. Thats what Neil told me. Ya its 50 cents more a gallon but what the heck, right? I got tired of spilin gas over everything even with a gas buddy. I'll just pay the extra. RR

I have the depth raider and remove my riggers when towing. 2 years no problems. Seems to me they all work pretty good now, just pick the one tha is best suited for you. RR

I havent been out yet. But yea its doing fine. The Seneca guys are taking the pressure off Cayuga with all the reports. You know what to do and where to go. Its fishing fine. RR

Yes it is mandatory. Not sure about placement. Mine is on the Starboard side above the throtle. RR

Actually the conditions should be perfect as long as the fish are still there. RR

I've been walking the creeks and the only thing I've seen are suckers. Not one trout. As of yesterday they were fine actually a bit too clear. We didnt get that much rain. I'll check it after work and put up a post late tonight. RR

October thru December but you have to check conditions. Its a long river and can blow out quickly. If there isnt a lot of ice in the winter, it can be good Jan Feb too.

The creek next to my house used to be one of the best smelt creeks on Cayuga. I havent seen a one in 8 years. your best bet on Cayuga would be T falls or salmon creek. When??? your just going to have to go to find out. The window is very short. Usually though mid april to mid may used to be good. If you really want to get smelt take the trip to Niagara, Lewiston area, mid to end of april. If you hit it right, you will get a good pail full. RR

The market is down Dave. I know of 22 and 23 foot boats going for 4 to 6 grand and they are in very good condition. Kind of hard to justify your price for the size of the boat even if you have a ton into it. I sold my old 22 fter for a grand even though I had more than that into the trailer alone. The NADA sounds about right to me. dont mean to be a downer but thats the gig with used boats. Sell the gear seperate. RR

I use a 2 battery set up. Both deep cycle cranking batteries and i leave the switch on both at all times. Works for me with no issues. RR

Don't forget to buy the lights too. They are separate. RR

Where? I fished bluefin in Mexico and socal. Fly lining sardeins. Frickin fantastic! yellowfins and albacore too. I went as much as i could. even had a custom 6ft tuna stick made for me. My largest was an 88lb blue that won me the pool! Most were 30 to 60 lbs. Yellowfins ave 20 to 30. Jan Z used to do it all the time out of RI and the cape I believe?
