  1. Stay thirsty my friends!
  2. Rollie, the lake has not been rough at all, except for when storms pop up. I would think that the west shore might be better. I could see large grass mats while sitting on the dock last night. I won't be out, going to NH striper fishing! RR
  3. 5 bucks a reel plus parts if needed at captains cove. I sent mine out yesterday, so I'll let you guys know about the turn around time. I'll bet is going to be pretty quick. RR
  4. Its september allready???? I missed the fall LOC! RR
  5. Thanks Mark. RR
  6. I've got 3 line counters I'd like to send out for tune ups. Nothing really wrong but could use new drag washers, cleanded and oiled. Whos good with a good turn around time? Thanks RR
  7. Thats the one I let go last week from my holding pen! Great, great fish! RR
  8. You want the scroll on as fast as it will go. I turn down the sensitivity when under power. When I get to the fishing area and am at trolling speed, I turn the sensitivity up till I'm reading the balls. I do have to adjust the sensitivity from time to time depending on the depth of water. I can crank it up when over 400 ft but as I get shallower, I have to turn it down from full. I never run factory pre's and always adjusting according to what I'm seeing. If you can see your balls, it will mark fish. RR
  9. Rollie not only is that a fish of a lifetime but you caught it during a tournment, which makes it all that more special! Fellas that was the largest brown i have ever seen come out of Cayuga! It looked like a 30lb king sawed in half! It was as wide as it was long! Heck of a fish! Now for my results, I had my box of lakers by 8:30-9:00 and was strictly fishing browns and salmon. I could not get one to bite. As you guys know, you have to have 1 or 2 kickers and I could not get them. As a matter of fact, Rollie was the only one to get a kicker and that made the difference. Congrats to Rollie and his crew! We had a good time! Thanks to split shot for organizing the event. RR
  10. Just heard from the man! Congrats! RR
  11. I had close to 38lbs. Tomorrow going to need all of that and more! I had a brown 9.5lbs 1 salmon 5lbs 1 laker 9lbs 1 laker 8 lbs 1 laker 7 lbs Something like that. I need to find that 14lb laker again! And 2 of his buddies. Good luck! RR
  12. The larger diameter of the line, the less fleas attach. Copper is ok, but you're not going to run copper off a rigger.
  13. How much do you want to spend rigging it? Makes a big difference. big Jon, Cannon and Scotty riggers are all good. Linecounter reels and 7 ft rods. Many brands to choose from in all price ranges. You are going to need 30lb test line at this point because of the fleas, use a small barrel swivel to attach a 10lb leader to the 30lb. Search the archives, lots of great info. RR
  14. I had to let him go, the alwives were costing me a fortune to feed him. He was 18lbs when I let him go! RR
  15. Distributor. Not the cap, the whole thing. Had it happen to me on my old inline 6. Put in electronic ignition. Thats wht I did and it worked. Cost me about 400 bucks installed professionally. Boat ran much better too. RR
  16. There are little thingys on the plack, if you win you have to have it engraved. I just put the year and team members on the plack. I wouldn't worry about it, cause I'm gonna threepeat! RR
  17. translation: Bolton point was good. RR
  18. Andy, I've got nothing for ya. I only got out on sat morning and I got 1 small laker. I have no idea what I'm doing on sat. Weeds are bad and so are the fleas. Poke and hope! Split hammered em last weekend but he's not givin anything up. RR
  19. I don't want to see any of yous guys fishing before sun up in my spot! Good luck to all! RR
  20. I'm sure insurance would cover it. I wrecked my boat last year and the insurance covered it no problem. Guess what happened to my rates this year? They went.......................... DOWN! by 60 bucks. Progressive boat insurance. My insurance lady reccomended them and they had the best rates. RR
  21. A few years back we had a huge east blow and we were just wackin and stackin the kings in 20 to 30 FOW! Talk about combat fishing! RR
  22. You guys won't have any trouble beatin me if I end up as bad as I did last sat. Lost my fish. i think they decided to follow split around instead of me like the usually do. I'm not worried though. RR
