Myers to the plant sucks right now. Don't feel bad everyone. It sucks right now. Transition time is in full swing. I fished hard all weekend for 2.5 fish. My neighbors had it tough too. But start in 50 to 60 ft. run a couple of top lines and a couple of riggers close to the bottom. 52 degrees on top and 45 down 100. The fish are so scattered, you just have to get lucky and run over a few. I hate this time of year. I almost think you would be better off fishing boards and shallow riggers at the south end to start. RR

Fishing the am side not the open. RR

I fished in Canadian waters the whole week. No problems at all. Yes the fishing was excellent there. However starting June 1st, you have to have a passport to go to and from Canada. This is not one of those heresay things either. RR

Congrats Andy! I don't think you need any more help! Way to go. I missed the laker board by 1 ounce. Never had a touch on sat. Whopped up on the lakers yesterday. Very Very tough lake conditions. Boat control was difficult at best. RR

When i was up there last week. 3.2 to 3.5 on the gps = 2.4 to 2.6 on the down speed. RR

My wifes boat was slipped in goose bay for many years. After much work i finally got the gel coat buffed up so it looks almost new again. Now i want to clean the outdrive. It has a build up of (I would guess) algea. I have a power washer but not sure if I should use it on the drive. I used a green scrubby to clean mine last year but it ended up scratching it a bit. Not too bad but I don't want to go that route again. Thanks for the help. RR

Thanks I would enjoy that but I won't be at the right bar! I'll be up to the Niagara bar fishing the whole week. Yea the gas station is gone. Wilcox's is just up the road on 34B but they don't open till 8:00. Good luck and I'll post how my neighbors do on monday. RR

Slow on Cayuga right now. That 1 toothed hag is there, saw her last week! They are getting a few fish at long point but it mostly lakers deep. I'll see how my neighbors do this weekend and get back to ya on monday. RR

Married. I'm 49. Wife and I have no children. My mother does not come back from FL until the 3rd week of May. No problems for me at all. Just have to make sure the card/gift and flowers arrive on time in FL. (or my a$$ is grass) I like it the way it is. Gives me enough time to regroup for the Niagara pro am. RR

Its very obvious that they are not coodinated at all. Everyone can draw their own conclusions. I am going to stop athe BP in Lewiston when i arrive and try to get the I68. If they don't know whats going on or don't have any, so be it. Good luck to all in the LOC. RR

Not true. Its not the coast guard that you have to worry about, its the boarder patrol! They are like State Police with 10 times as much power. They can do anything they want to you and you have to take it. I'm sure the CG doesn't care, its not their primary function. RR

Yea they (congress) are the ones that did this. But dont need a passport if you just get the enhansed license. I believe the enhansed license is either no charge or very minimal. RR

the office is just before the lewiston bridge that goes to canada. open 24 hours 7 days a week. RR

With the I68 you can dock do what ever. Just call when coming back in.

It certainly is not clear depending on who you talk to. But the officer i spoke with twice today was very clear and thats what I have relayed to the members here. He is the one thats incharge where we fish. You can call the office at 716 285-1676 RR I did not mean to open a can of worm here. I wil be fishing Canadian waters and i don't want to be detained or have my new boat torn apart. Its much easier for me to comply. Sorry RR

Ok I have called 3 different ports, Read the paper, etc. In Ohio unless you are a charter and just trolling (do not dock in Canada) in Canadian waters you do not need an I68. In NY they want everyone fishing Canadian waters to have the I68 and to report in by calling the BP when entering back in to US waters. They told me they will be at the launches spot checking and out in boats relaying back to shore what boats went into Canada. They will search and detain you if you don't follow proceedure and everyone on board has to have the I68. They also told me they wont get everybody but if you get caught, it will be unpleasent. the 16 dollar permit is good for 1 year. Sorry about the info, but I am just going to comply. RR

Ya after June 9th, passport or enhansed drivers license. But you will still need the I68 permit regardless unless you are going to go to a port where they have BP office and inspections. Youngstown does not have an office. RR

I had to edit, sorry the Youngstown BP office is not open at this time. You have to go to the Lewiston office. I'm going to call another office and talk to someone else just to verify. RR

do you mean accidental? I can see the boarder on my GPS, Shows it all the way all over the lake. Or stay on the US side of the green can, don't go too far west from the red can. Do not need passport as of now. Just need 2 forms of ID, drivers lic and birth cert prefered, to get the I68 permit. RR
