  1. I'll be at the bar for the last 5 days of the spring derby and then the Niagara pro am. Then I'll be in mexico bay for 5 days for the fall derby. The rest of the time will be spent on Cayuga working on defending my 2 year in a row title. RR
  2. Yep here is the new one and no I won't take 600 for it! RR
  3. Freeman if you can find out where that boat is, you can have it! Just don't mind the large hole in the hull. Still available, e mail sent. RR
  4. The water isn't even close to winter pool. About halfway I would say. It came up right after xmas and hasn't gone back down. RR
  5. Nice shinny new center pin! Got the wife a blue tooth so I made out big time. Not really her B day is next week, I saved the diamond earings for that! RR
  6. Fan tailed rainbow. I know of others that have got them. Cool RR
  7. Chowder I run a Perko battery switch on my 2 battery set up. I leave it on the both position and always have no problems running all my stuff all day long. The alternator keeps both batteries charged up while fishing. No issues at all. Like mentioned before, don't switch it while the motor is running, you will blow up your alternator. Just make sure you have 2 good batteries when you start out, as a week one will drain the good one. RR
  8. Yea but I let em all go except for the LOU derby! 3 would be great that way I can run my spread with 2 people on board, which happens frequently. RR
  9. Ron, I'll measure it tonight and get back to you tomorrow morning. Yes frame and boot included. You will need the hardware to attach the frame to the boat. But thats really cheap. Maybe 20 bucks. RR
  10. I'm with you Hank!
  11. Put your money where you mouth is Iceman! lol 88 teams in the Niagar pro am this year. I think the breakdown was 53 pro and 35 am. I've beat many a pro even without being in the money too Bob! RR
  12. Sorry iceman you are wrong. I have placed(or someone on my boat) in the LOC every year for the past 7 years and placing in the money for the pro am is very difficult. You have to put 2 excellent days of fishing back to back. The weather constantly changes, the fish move making it a huge challenge. Thats what seperates the winners from the other guys. Most of the time, I'm the other guys. When fishing the LOC, I take the week off and can search for the fish. Not so in the pro am due to the time constraints. Its not easy! We have never had problems with observers so you guys chirpin about not fishing because of the observer rule are just making excuses. RR
  13. I have basically a brand new bimini top and frame for a 221V islander with the boot. Looking for 300 clams. This top will cost 800 new. I need it out of my basement so reasonable offers will be accepted. The top is blue in color and has zippers for side curtains. RR
  14. I would just like to cull for the niagara. The water is plenty cold enough. I ran all the way to the bar and was limited by 8:00 with 1 good one and 4 dinks (19 inchers). Crap I'm all the way out there and into fish, then i have to quit fishing. I spent how much? to fish for 2 hours? It sucked didn't it Glen! The rest of the format is just fine with me. RR
  15. Yup blonde moment for sure! lol RR
  16. Transition time! Its tough. What was the surface temp? Unfortunately the water dropped too low for my lift and I'm pretty much done till spring. It might be time to put the boards back out and work the east side with top water sticks and shallow riggers down by Esty and in front of Fall creek. RR
  17. Full tank always! Stabil works fine like Erin said. RR
  18. Stix, I'm towing my Islander 221 with a 2007 honda pilot, (virtually the same thing as the ridgeline), no problems. I really enjoy the ride of the pilot and I'm getting 24 to 25 mpg on the highway. I went with pilot after driving full size pick ups for years. I'm glad it bought the honda. RR
  19. Sorry it doesn't look at all like a brown to me. I've caught plenty of browns that size in that river and they don't look like that. where I fish for atlantic salmon, they have signs posted telling fishermen to be careful with smolts and par as they look like trout. I can't get a positive ID with out the tail showing. So I'm going with AS especially with the large eye. Smolts have large eyes. RR
  20. I have a mag 10 HS and love it! RR
  21. Actually Atlantic Salmon smolts in rivers look very much like a trout. They are not silver and do not have the X spots till in the ocean or the big water. Even returning AS after being in the river for a few days loose their silver and x marks and go back to spots. They also have a lot of spots on the gill plates. I wish I could see the tail on that one. RR
  22. Yea looks like an atlantic salmon smolt, but hard to tell with out seeing the tail. Def not a brown. RR
  23. My watch does that for me. Seriously! But do I pay atention to it? No. RR
  24. In about a month the fishing off Tagannock park on Cayuga should be decent. Jigs or sacs for lakers off the front, or white jigs or rooster tails for browns and LL on the piers.
  25. A big charter out of oswego cut in front of me twice in the same pass and was yelling at me to turn so not to get his 3 copper rods. Well i gave him a big piece of my mind and then turned at the last minute. Only 3 or 4 boats in the whole area! When you cut in front of me its not my problem. I should have cleaned him out but being the nice guy I am, I didn't. RR
