  1. Nope. Take a 24 to 36 inch length of 10 lb test, put a snap swivel on 1 end and just a snap on the other. Put a small spoon on the snap only side, put your rigger rod down but don't tighten it all the way. Take the snapswivel and attach it to the rigger rod line and toss it in the water. Tighten up the rod to the rigger ball. The spoon will travel to the bow in the line and stop. Works great. I don't like to stack rods. I run 3 riggers with cheaters on them all the time on cayuga. When you hook up, you have to reel like crazy to catch up tight to the line. Then fish on. Plant is about 3 miles up. Actually you might want to run right up to the plant and work that area first. Start at the plant and go north to about Don's marina. Then work that area back and forth. RR
  2. Launch at myers, put the rods down and head north. Keep fishing till about 2 miles past the plant. Turn around and do it again. Wire dipsys out 200 to 280 and shallow riggers 30 to 50 ft with cheaters. Work from 100 fow to 300 fow. Don't be afraid to fish the 250 to 300. The fish are there. RR
  3. Atwaters is just north of the power plant. And Yea, thats where i fish. RR

  12. Well I had a great morning. Fishing was fantastic for me. I actually think there is a mistake on my weight as I come up with 38 lbs or so. Either Mike Typo'd it or Barney added up my score worng. We had Laker 9lbs Laker 8lbs Laher 6.5 lbs Salmon 5.1 lbs Brown 9.6 lbs No matter though! We had a great time and always enjoy meeting new members. My wife is thrilled to have to dust and polish the cup for one more year. Actually Tracy, my first mate will have it for 6 months. He is very intregal to the success of the team. He runs a mean back of the boat. (with my oversite of course ) During the wicked T storm that hit at 5:00 am, We were sitting in the boat, in the lift waiting for it to pass, when my cell rings. Its my wife looking out the window. The first thing she says, is what are you Morons doing out in the boat? Many thanks to Split for organizing the tourny. He does a great job. RR

  19. Well my buddy did mine, but that was on my other boat. I am about to install it on the new one next week. Its not too bad. Depending on the size of your steering shaft you might have to get a sleeve for it. I have the part number if you need it as I needed it and they are in stock at Raymarine. You have to go thru west marine to get it though unless you want to pay 35 bucks for shippin for a 7 dollar part.
