  1. Black, pink and purple (all on one spoon) work good too. RR
  2. I'm going thru the same thing, I'll post the results after the repair. Only mine gets hot below 800 rpm. 800 and above its 150. Having the impeller changed out, thats what the shop says for now. RR
  3. Tell him Hi for me! RR
  4. If you want to run dipsys, wire is the only way to go. you can use power pro or similar until the fleas show up. I live on Cayuga and fish it all the time. Mono dipsys are a waste of time, money and lost fish unless you have it very shallow. Wire is easy to run. Search this forum for the correct knots and set up. Its all here. There are times when I have out 300 ft of wire on Cayuga. (that gets you down about 100 ft.) you need the larger reels to accomodate the 1000 ft of wire. Then you don't have to use backing. You also need very sturdy rod holders. RR
  5. Sorry Clarke, I bought the last 3 at BPS. They didn't know when they were going to get more. I wanted 4. They guy told me that sold 20 Mag 10's and 10 mag 5's last week! I got the last mag 5! They were out of 10's. Wow! RR
  6. TD, I know Mike! Big Mike! Now little Mike. Great guy. He is a big fan of my band. Of course we have to play a doobie bros tune for him. RR
  7. I'll let you know on sunday after I test out my new one.
  8. Duh! Thanks Ray, I must be a little thick this morning.
  9. I'm not following that at all!
  10. Actually its not looking bad for sat. I used to fish the eddington pool every June till they closed it. I know they opened it back up for this spring, but I go to the Merimichi every year now instead. good luck. RR
  11. As long as you have a current registration from what ever state you are from, you are all set. Where you at? I used to live in Kingfield and Sebago for a short time. RR
  12. Home made from cedar. They work great and are in excellent condition. I got a new set. These are free, you just have to come and get them. I'm on cayuga lake near King Ferry. PM me if interested. They are taking up too much space in my shed. p.s. I can bring them up to the bar during the loc. I'll be there from the 7th to the 11th RR
  13. Yes I'll pony up for the crew plaques. I plan on trying to defend my title, but there may be a small glitch. I'm trying to work it out now with my sister. Let me know how much and i pop a check in the mail to ya Split. RR
  14. Supply is down, demand is up and the US dollar suks. Since oil is traded in US dollars the price automatically goes up as the dollar goes down. That equals high gas prices. Very little we can do about it. They will continue to rise every month until the dollar stabilizes or increases. My trips to the Mirimachi (Canada)river have doubled in price because of the dollar. It used to be 65 a day now its 125 a day. Not including the guide and that had gone from 30 a day to 55 a day. That does not include my gas money either. Unfortunately we are going to have to deal with this for some time. RR
  15. Just going to keep fishing. I thought about getting a gas buddy to keep at the house but after figuring in the cost and then the cost to go fill it, the hassle of transporting a 100 gallon gas buddy,my time etc.... Better off just running down to the marina to fill up. RR
  16. Nice meeting you guys. Glad you got into some fish. RR
  17. NO! Next year 2009 you will need a passport to enter and return from Canada. If you are an american you don't need anything to fish US waters except a fishing license. You can also troll into Canadian waters as long as you do not land in Canada and have the aprpopriate licenses. Remember no alcohol on board in Canada. I got that info straight from the boarder patrol. RR
  18. Sure just after I respooled with the regular stuff! RR
  19. Why? seems to me when you grab that thin line with all that tension on it, you'll get cut or burned. Just wondering.
  20. http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/LO/064.html RR
  21. I've got that FF for ya too. RR
  22. Sweet. good to see the ole girl in action.
  23. Thanks Stinger, I'm all set now. I hope to get out on sunday. They finally shipped my rod holders today. Install on sat among some house stuff and then I'll be fishing every weekend.
  24. I just called the national boarder patrol and they said the same thing that Zeke said. Just to make sure I called at Niagara Falls too. no problem as long as you don't dock in Canada. RR
