  1. welcome
  2. 13lb salmon do feel like 23 lb salmon on crappy reels and too light of rods. It would tire the best of men out trying to crank that set up on without a fish on it ray. Motoman and I had a great time and the waves were outrageous. I left Jerry a lil present. Its great to meet people from the board that are cool as hell. Thanks Moto
  3. Happy Birthday Jim
  4. shawn do you make custom lures?
  5. 6 or half dozen
  6. I remember. That sounds great I might have to stop down and enjoy a beverage. I'll keep my speed down this year
  7. I'll definately be there, Landshark on Channel 68. Bottom Feeder will be out too.
  8. i run just the mini power grips from cotty but u must attach it to the copper
  9. I know last year there were some LOU folk last year that syaed at Selkirk for the weekend. I will be there camping and fishing all weekend. Anyone else going to be in the park? Curious to find out where everyone will be to chase that 20,000$
  10. salmon just passes time til the real walleye fishing starts
  11. not just chowder, bob's adirondack way of living chowder
  12. It was some tough fishing, the first 8 hours scared most of the boats away because of the 3fters. We went for it. mid day was slow. The copper only fired one time the whole day . Of course in those type of waves without a down temp or speed we did our best to guage and we seemed to do alright. Most boats were inside of 90fow. It was good fishing with todd and jason. We didn't pick anything huge up, a few in the low 20's. There was one flasher fly combo that took at least 6 hits. I had sea legs bad for 5 hours after we were done fishing. wow. it was 50/50 between riggers and dipsys. We did have one fish on the dipsy that was a brute. Id like to have that 1 back. Todd did a great job at the helm in tough conditions. 1 week left men. the big ones out there lets go get em.
  13. Were you running copper or just dipseys?
  14. I think you are correct Chad. That makes perfect sense.
  15. Oh by the way Cannon Riggers are junk. The switches are put in a spot that is meant to be leaned on or bumped or hung by a shirt. Of course if you do backlash one they are a pain in the arse to try to undo. grrrrrr So im blaming he rigger thing on Cannon
  16. I don't know what I am going to do but it has cost me alot of fish. No hook should straighten on any rig. A heavier hook isn't going to keep a salmon from striking. It was a good time and cool to se everyone there. If there is a pro team that might need a member next year keep me in mind. My status as amatuer is over.
  17. congrats mark
