  7. yes diesel dont get too excited because there are alot of vehicles that you cant turn them off. I can shut them off on my truck but my car is a 99 and you cant on that
  8. www.quickchg.com go to spinners and rigs and top of second page
  9. BP, I can give you the info on the snells I buy if you are interested. They are built on 8lb mono with size 4 or 6 red hooks ( your choice). They are 72 inches in length. They also have 1 chartruese bead on them. I buy 24 packs for 7.50. I use to tie my own but for 30 cents apiece I found it much easier to just use these. Hooks are sharp, and no breakage
  10. I guess it depends on where you are fishing walleye but I just dont need see the need to run more than 8lb because i use floats on all my rigs to keep them off of the bottom. I fish them off of bottom bouncers with 6ft to the hooks. Are you dragging your spinners across the bottom or just above the bottom? I like my odds of hooking more line shy fish on smaller diameter line. As far as braid, it sounds great but tangles way too easy. My line from the bouncer to the hooks Never touches the bottom. I dont see how yours is breaking. If you have a weak spot in your line from dragging bottom then I understand. I caught alot of walleye over 8lbs this year using 10lb main line on my stickbaits. 17lb or 8 lb, it isnt going to matter if it touches a tooth. BP, you said you lost a huge walleye at night. If it were night, then you must have had it next to the boat to see it was a walleye and not another species. Was the problem in losing the fish at the boat? Was the line fine all the way until you tried to net it or something? Im trying to figure this out?
  11. Bought it, used it once, sat around since. Its a Cortland CLX III reel on a 9ft 9/10 weigh Cortland GRF-1000XP. There is backing on it. Make an offer. ( will trade for Reef Runners ) lol
  12. you cant go wrong with seagur but i actually buy all my snells from quick change- they are built on 8lb and i never lost a walleye because of it breaking the line. are you sure it couldnt have been another tooth critter?

  21. 2 of my buddies and I decided to try chasing the big eyes again saturday out of my boat. We had a nice little chop for most of the morning and fishing was good. Took fish from 7-12 lbs. Once we lost our wind we lost our decent fishing. Here are some pics and a video from some of the eyes we took. I don't get into too much detail about the fishing locations and specifics in order to keep those who fish it regularly happy. As many of you know the fishery up that way is a little tight lipped and I respect that. It was nice seeing only 4 boats the entire day. Here is a short video where we explain the basics!!! http://ardentangler.org/images/walleyetroll.wmv

  24. I ordered 75 dollars worth of stickbaits from this website via paypal. I have ordered from this guy before and got my gear no problem but this time i didnt get an email or shipment info. I checked into it and apparently he is out of business with no phone or anything to reach anyone. Although his website is still up and takes orders. I hope i get my money back from paypal. I just dont want anyone else to get burnt. The guy is www.baitdave.com and here is how i found out he was out of biz. http://www.baitdave.com/album1_167.htm
