  1. Ive also found jacking the tires off the ground while in storage helps. Six months not moving isnt good for a tire.
  2. Team Coldwater Affair is looking for an observer for the Nagra pro-am. We will be docked out of Wilson for the two day event on 6/5 and 6/6. You will need to be able to do both days and be able to be at the dock at 4:45 am and available till around 3pm or so after weigh in. There is also a captains meeting on Friday 6/4 at 6 or so in Olcott that is for observers and captains. We pay $100 for the weekend. It is a great learning opportunity to see what other fisherman use and do fishing for Kings, Cohos, Steelheads, and Lakers. Its also a great way to see what the tournament is all about. Thanks Jeff Team Coldwater Affair
  3. May want to see if you could step up to a light truck tire and rim. You can find good deals on rims at an auto scrap yard. It all depends on your hubs, light truck are usuall 15". Your best be on the 14" tires is to call a trailer dealer.
  4. Anybody get a packet with mail in registrations yet? Getting close!
  5. The channel there is simple. Straight at or away from the dock. Been going out of there for years and the last 5 with a 27'er and it hasn't let me down yet. I do see at least a boat a year on the rocks though. The last few hears have been good early, but drop after the middle of april in shallow. They are still there, but they get a lot of traffic all week along the shore from bear to the plant from the pville charter guys. Pressure pushes them deeper or into the bouyed area around gina.
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water:6-10am Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: 51-52 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 8 Total Boated:7 Species Breakdown: 6 browns, 1 atlantic Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: 2.6-3.0 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 30-50 Lure Depth: 24-50 ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Took all the fish before 7 and only took one hit after that that got off. Biggest brown at 8lbs. Atlantic was around 5. Bait was starting to move out to 30' range as we were getting done. Hopefully this will start to pull more browns out of the shallows. Pleanty of marks out deeper 70-120 but couldn't move a rod. Not sure what they are, but there are a ton 50' and down. tried fishing these a week ago and no luck. Best bait were spoons in black/glow, and black /yellow.
  7. Maybe we should push for four rods per person and then the naysayers will agree to three.
  8. Daisy Barn in Wilson is nice and quiet. About a 1/2 mile from Wilson. Power, Bath house

  14. Thanks guys. Thats what I thought, but thats how I usually get in trouble. Anybody have a list or know the Canadian safety equipment regs?
  15. Other than a license, what else do you need to do to fish over the border if you don't plan on going to shore. ie canadian side of the bar?
  16. Matt, Good luck fishing in the pro division. Getting an observer from another boat other than yours will be strange. We must of had some sort of record going. Good luck to all at St. Catherines.
  17. Looks nice. Greg, back in town?
  18. Im not gonna tell you to stay away from a ford, they are great trucks. However my latest one has had some serious issues. Its a 06 F350, Ive owned since it was new. I have gone through ball joints, have had several electrical shortage problems, exhaust manifolds (2) rot right through, tranny lines rot off, and a radiator rot. All this with under 80,000 mi. Seems the material used in the china parts isn't holding up. The frame on the truck has very little surface rust on it, so Im not sure how everthing is rotting out so fast. Have a 03 F250 and a 89 F600 and together over the years, I havent had as many problems. Must have been built on a Friday or before a holiday. My 99 F250 I had was a tank, and give me no issues until the very end and that was with 160,000 miles.
  19. Jerry, Moyers have a ramp if all else fails. Tight in there, but we saw a 30+ go in last year.
  20. Try http://www.olcottfishing.com/. A lot of contact info on there.
